Letter from Juniper to her father- September 2
Dear Father,
I have wonderful news! I have been sorted into Slytherin. I am so pleased to be part of the family tradition. I haven't met many people yet and I'm still getting lost in the castle but things are going well. Classes will be starting soon and I am so excited. Mother always spoke so highly of Hogwarts and everything she learned here. I do miss the family dreadfully though. I hope all is well at home. Please give Willow a hug from me and could you help her write a letter to me perhaps? It would be so wonderful to hear from her. Have you heard from Aster? I haven't yet so I suppose I'll write him an owl once I'm done writing this letter. I know he gets busy, especially since this is his final school year. I hope you're proud of me, I know I haven't been the most well-behaved recently and I am sorry about our fight that we had before I left. I know you always have the best intentions for the family.

I was sorted into Slytherin. I am so relieved! I think father will be proud. How is school going for you? I'm feeling homesick. How did you get over it? I can't wait to see you over winter break.

It's good to hear from you. I am thrilled to hear about Slytherin and I'm sure father is too although he may be too busy to show it right now. School is going well for me, it's difficult with it being my final year but they're making sure we're entering the adult world prepared. As for the homesickness, it takes time but it will go away. Missing home is natural. We'll be home soon enough for winter break and can celebrate with hot coco and pumpkin pasties. Take care little sister and I'll see you soon.

Hi Aster,
I finally made a friend! Her name is Minnie and she's in Hufflepuff. I didn't tell father that part though so please don't say anything. She's really nice and she bakes!! You know how I love sweets so its a perfect match. I'm doing well in my classes. I do wish I had my own broom here, I don't like how I can only fly in flying class but I suppose it is for the safety of those who don't know how to fly. Father hasn't written to me in some time, have you heard from him? I hope all is well with you. Can't wait to see you at Christmas.

That's awesome news about your friend. I knew you would make friends, you don't really have a choice in boarding school. I'm proud of you and your secret is safe with me. Eventually you'll be able to fly again on your own accord. I have heard from father but not too much. He is busy with work as per usual. Everything is good with me. See you soon little sister!
