It was a snowy Tuesday morning. Jam was on her way to the Owlery to submit a letter to her muggle grandmother who was living in England. She had really missed the old woman, as she was the person who taught her everything she knew and shaped her into the person she is today. The Ravenclaw girl pulled her hat down a little with one hand, the other clutching the letter she had written.

Jam was wearing a casual outfit in a white theme. She decided to celebrate the snow by wearing its colour, making her nearly camouflage into the snow if not for her cascading dark brown hair and rosy cheeks.

Finally, Jam reached the West tower where the Owlery was. She had mistakenly forgotten to include the name of the street, and she had only realised when she was halfway to the tower. She figured the Owlery was home to millions of quills, so she decided to just borrow one when she arrived.

When she did arrive though, she found that sadly there were not any quills in sight, forcing her to ask around. Jam approached a girl who was holding a quill in one hand as she seemed to be cancelling something on her own letter. She looked like she was in the first year and was obviously from Ravenclaw as well, which made Jam a little more comfortable approaching her. She tapped on the girl’s shoulder, nervously asking, “Um, hello… I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind, uh, lending me your quill? I’ll be quick I promise!”

March was rushing towards the owlery, excited to send my message to my family. She had a piece of parchment and a quill along with a bottled of ink. She was worried my ink might spill, otherwise I would have been running. She knew her mother probably thought she was homesick, but March was loving it here at Hogwarts! well, who wouldn't? They had so many fun things to do, like balls and friends, She was excited to share how she was having fun so far. She enterd the room. She could imidiatly smell the barn-ish smell, the smell of dung and feathers. I set up my parchment and began scribbling down my message, every now and then stoping to think. She could hear some one enter the owlery, but she didn't turn around. she could hear her approach and tap on her shoulder, March tuned around and saw a girl wearing white and a hat. She had black glasses and she looked like a first year, and a Ravenclaw from what she could tell. “Um, hello… I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind, uh, lending me your quill? I’ll be quick I promise!” I snatched up my inkwell and quill and held them out to her, smilling. "Sure!"
