Today’s the day that Lucielia Night Cortez introduces their two best friends to each other. Noa, the calm and friendly type, and Aliana, the sweet one with a lovely singing voice, their personalities will most likely mash well together. They're putting on their most casual but fancy-ish clothes, their long black/white hair loose and wavy but thankfully not all over the place. They make their outside to the greenhouse and spot their father and siblings.

”How do I look?” They dramatically spin to emphasize their appearance. Everyone feigns a thinking look before telling them they look great. “Thank you! I'm leaving now! They shout before turning around but they don't miss the chorus of “Tell Noa/Aliana I say hi!” from their family.

They made their way to the park a couple of blocks from their house and feeling adventurous, decided to climb a tree that was not very far from the entrance. In fact, many people enter the park and look at them with amused looks and greet them with smiles.

They take a chocolate frog out of their bag and lean backward on the tree, they aren't worried about their friends not being able to find them because this is such a Lucie thing to do and they'd be offended if they didn't think Lucie would do it in the first place.

The breeze is very calming and nice, Lucie would fall asleep if they didn't have the common sense to not fall asleep on a tall tree….It took them several falls during their childhood for them to learn not to fall asleep in a tree.

It took every reason and pleading from Noa-Elise to alleviate Mitzy's worries about letting her out of the safety of their heavily warded home and into a park to meet up with Lucie. Noa-Elise felt that the house-elf was a tad bit dramatic in how she sobbed, wiping her tears with her pink apron, and insisting that 'Young Ms. must be kept safe! She is Madam Lizzy's beloved daughter and she must be protected from dangerous strangers!' she squeaked.

It would have been touching, if only she hadn't been echoing that same sentiment for the last three nights since she told her parent about meeting an interesting new friend.

Noa-Elise tugged at the silver chain bracelet that her parents made her promise to be on her person; one of the many conditions she must follow before they let her meet up with her friends. She could feel the hum of Mother's protection charm and Father's tracking spell imbued on the jewelry. They both insisted on meeting her friends themselves but as chance would have it, Father was called away by the ministry and Mother was needed in St. Mungo's as her current patient had shown a new symptom that could break the mystery of the unknown curse that was cast upon them.

And Noa-Elise would thank Circe for that, she really didn't want to be embarrassed by her parents. She followed the directions to the park that Lucie had owled, being extra vigilant and sticking in the crowd of Muggles especially while crossing the roads. She still doesn't trust those contraptions Muggles use to get around. Father had mentioned something called a Knight Bus that wizarding folks used but Mother would reject the very idea of letting their child travel on a 'metal deathtrap with a notoriously reckless driver at the wheel'.

Finally, she could see the entrance of the park, and wandered into the area, her eyes wide open to look out with her friend. It took her less than a minute to see a person leaning against a large tree, their wavy white and black hair swaying in the breeze. Their dark clothes wouldn't be complete without their fingerless fishnet gloves and boots.

To be honest, Noa-Elise had always been fascinated with Lucie's outfits. It was either Lucie's unapologetically bold fashion aesthetics or Noa-Elise's rather sheltered lifestyle where most of the articles of clothing she was exposed to was the regular working robes of her parents', posh playdate outfit she would wear during tea parties or the more opulent ones Mother will buy for galas and dinner parties.

Tugging at the hem of her pink cable knit sweater, she bounded up to them and chirped a cheerful-

"Lucie!"

She hoped she wasn't late, though if she was, maybe she could make it up with a large bag of Bertie Bags Every Flavoured Bean that she brought as gifts from her latest visit to Diagon Alley with Father.

Lucie jolted up out of their dazed state after hearing someone shout their name, ”Noa!” They jump out of the tree and run towards the dark-haired girl, their once cooperative hair now frizzed and windswept. They all but tackle the girl into a hug with a large smile, “Aren’t you a stunner, I love the pink sweater by the way. Was the journey difficult? Maybe next time, I’ll go to you. But enough about that, how are you? Oh, and my family says Hello.”

The slightly frazzled person is just very excited to see one of their closest friends, they excuse themself to run toward the tree and get their sweet-filled bag. All we have to do is wait for Aliana They’d be lying if they said that they are not excited about Noa’s arrival. They are also eager for Aliana of course.

They genuinely think that she and Noa could be the best of friends, ”How do I look? I was going for a '90s goth person, but it could be something else.” They feel the need to ask because sometimes the opinion of friends can go a long way, maybe the fishnets are a little much, or maybe they should have put their hair up but they personally think the outfit is awesome.

They start attempting to smooth their hair down with their hands but ultimately leave it as it is, they can make windswept look decent. They offer a chocolate frog with a smile to their dark-haired friend. ”Do you think I should let my natural platinum blonde hair come back? It made me look like a snow cone but sometimes I miss it.”

I meticulously adjust my appearance, drawing inspiration from the pinned image, and carefully inspect my outfit to ensure it aligns with the desired vibe. I pack the necessary items in my bag, feeling a sense of responsibility akin to that of a nurturing friend, prepared for any situation. Despite the playful banter from my brothers, I gather my confidence and make my way to the park. As i stroll to the park along the winding paths, the vibrant colors of the flowers and the gentle rustling of leaves create a serene atmosphere. The sun casts a warm glow, illuminating our surroundings and adding a touch of magic to the day. Upon arrival, I spot Lucie in the distance and wave, a smile gracing my lips. A surge of excitement courses through me as I approach, eager to meet Noa-Elise and fully embrace this outing. I feel a mixture of anticipation and nervousness as I notice Noa-Elise nearby, and I approach her with a warm smile. "Hello, Lucie!" I exclaim with enthusiasm as I reach the park. I immediately rush over and embrace Lucie. "You must be Noa-Elise, right? I'm Aliana, but please feel free to call me Ali," I say, extending a friendly hand.

She smiled as she took Lucie's proffered Chocolate Frog, not surprised that her friend would have a sweet in their bag. Noa-Elise tilted her head to the side and tried to picture Lucie with platinum blonde hair.

Before she can answer Lucie's questions, a melodic voice enters the scene.

"Hello, Lucie!"

A girl with pale skin and copper hair greeted them, hugging their mutual friend. She was wearing a champagne-colored jacket and baggy jeans with her hair tied in small pigtails. The girl turned to her and said,

"You must be Noa-Elise, right? I'm Aliana, but please feel free to call me Ali" and with that, she offered her hand out.

Without hesitation, Noa-Elise immediately stuck out her hand to shake Ali's hand, making her smile widely.

"Greetings! My name is Noa-Elise Forsythe, and you can call me Noa." She took a step back and fished out her mokeskin pouch from her pocket to retrieve two large bags of Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans that have the new summer fruits and wax crayon flavors.

"Father and I visited Diagon Alley last week and the sweets shop had just offered new flavor combinations."



She passed them to Lucie and Ali before she returned to her comfortable posture, one foot behind her as she shifted her weight to the front one with her hands clasped behind her. It's the secret of how she can stand for hours without looking tired.

"We were talking about Lucie's fashion style" Noa-Elise nodded to them, "I think they can definitely pull off platinum blond, plus it would be easy for them to dye it in a different color once they get bored of it. Speaking of which, I do like yours Ali" she complimented. It looked comfortable yet stylish enough that she could wear it around the house but also ready to attend a casual get-together.

"I heard you have siblings like Lucie. What are they like if you don't mind me asking" she quried. Being an only child, having a sibling sounds fascinating, and hearing the shenanigans her friends would have with them is entertaining.

Straightening their glasses they greet Aliana, ”Hey Ali!” Lucie hugs their friend eagerly before letting go and going back to their candy. Lucie has never been happier than they are right now, their friends are bonding and they have more sweets, today literally cannot go better than it is right now.

Lucie smiles at Noa when she says that they would look good with their natural hair color, the main reason they dye their hair is so they don't look like everyone else but their choice of fashion might just be enough for that. ”The dye is already starting to fade anyway, maybe a week with blonde hair might influence my decision, thanks, Noa.” They sent a crooked smile Noa’s way before looking at Ali.

Her outfit is very casual and pretty, like Noa’s but with significant differences of course. When brought up the subject of siblings Lucie felt inclined the tell them about Loren, ”I have a sister named Loren but she used to be Luke, if you catch my drift. I love her so very much too.” Lucie said this proudly with a huge dimple-revealing smile on their face, Loren is one of their favorite siblings after all.

They chew on two Every Flavor Beans and grimace, “Earwax and Bird Dung. That somehow tastes worse than the sweet monstrosity that is pumpkin juice.” Despite Pumpkin juice just being a beverage, Lucie considers it to be a mortal enemy of theirs.

I smile widely very happy to meet noa. “It’s a pleasure to meet you noa!” I say happily as she hands me the beans. “Oh wow thank you so much noa!” I say greatfully.


“I love your natural hair lucie!” I say sweetly. “But I also love your hair dyed!”

I roll my eyes as we talking about siblings. “Mine are two very anyoing and overprotective brothers” I say with a sigh as I smile a bit. “But I love them with all my heart so… they make up for it!” I say as I giggle. I smile as lucie mentions Loren. “Loren is so sweet! I loves her so much!” I say as I giggle.


I make a face at lucie as she puts two different flavour beans in her mouth and once. “Eww lucie that’s grossss” I whine looking away giggling as I have a sensitive stomach.


Once I recover from lucie I get an idea. “So are either of you going to the BalKim ball this year?
"I heard it's going to be amazing this year!" I say sweetly and excitedly.
“I already have my dress and make up and hair and everything all picked out I’m so excited!”
I add, excitement evident in my voice.

“How could anyone not like Loren? She’s the best!” Lucie’s eyes sparkle as they talk about their older sister. They truly love her.

Lucie smiles at Ali when she mentions the BaiKim Winter Ball, they’ve been forgetting to tell their friends for the longest about who they’re going with.

”Not to brag but I’m going with Lyrra Kelly, she’s a gryffindor and she’s very nice. I practically ambushed her when I asked her to be my date to the ball.” Their smile turns into a grin and they have a far off look on their face.

“Who are you girls going with? It’d be a bummer if it was just 2 of the trio going.” Lucie laughs a little loudly when they said that, but they are serious, it would be a bummer if Noa isn’t going as well.

They eat another bean and grimace, Celery. Why do I have all the bad ones. ”Have you guys gotten any weird flavors? I got Celery this time but anything’s better than Earwax and Dung.” They say to the girls with a haunted look that would remind the girls of the face they make whenever they drink pumpkin juice.

Lucie leans their head back and gets the strangest idea to climb the tree again, Lucie runs toward the tree and climbs it. “How do you girls feel about having a park photo shoot? Someone hurry and take my picture before the wind blows my hair everywhere.” Lucie looks down at the two from the tree while holding on to a branch for dear life, they aren’t afraid of heights but it doesn’t hurt to be cautious. This has to be one of their most diabolical plans yet but Lucie’s not going to budge anytime soon.

Noa held her laughter as Lucie and her new friend, Ali, recounted their experience with their siblings and both wincing as Lucie bravely put two different beans in her mouth. Soon their conversation went to the BaiKim Winter Ball.

“Who are you girls going with? It’d be a bummer if it was just 2 of the trio going.” Lucie laughs.

Before Noa could answer, Lucie ran towards the tree and started to climb on it. Noa felt her mouth drop open, how could even Lucie manage such a feat with the clothes they were wearing? She turned to look at Ali but the Ravenclaw was still smiling, no doubt she was used to Lucie's energy by now.

“How do you girls feel about having a park photo shoot? Someone hurry and take my picture before the wind blows my hair everywhere.”

They were holding on precariously on the branch and Noa felt the need to grasp her wand and conjure a pillow underneath her energetic friend. Even though they're underage and forbidden to use magic, she won't hesitate to break the rules to keep Lucie safe.

Hurriedly, she rummaged through her bag and retrieved a disposable camera that Father had bought for her in one of those Muggle Sunday Flea Markets. At first, Mother was against the idea, thinking that they would indeed be infested by the jumping parasites before Father explained (between loud guffaws) that there would certainly be no fleas present and explained that he and Aunt Deirdre would sneak out from their house in Donegal during their childhood and slip into the nearby Muggle town to buy eccentric Muggle wares.

With a cry of victory, Noa carefully aimed at Lucie's haphazard form and hastily shot several pictures of Lucie dangling on the branch with their hair wildly flying behind them.

Lucie's expression was of pure mischief rather than fear which lessened Noa's worry a tad bit.

Remembering Lucie's words, she tucked a long brown hair behind her ear and muttered, "Um, I'm kinda interested in a boy but... I decided against asking him out. Feel's intimate somehow?"

She cleared her throat and said, "But congratulations on having Lyrra as your date, I'm sure you'll have tons of fun!" Noa then turned to Ali, "Are you going to bring a date to the ball too?"

Lucie does a few playful poses when Noa takes the pictures of them, all the while dangling and hanging on for dear life, sometimes they question their sanity and usually deduce that they’re just very energetic. Lucie falls into a heap of eccentric clothing and long hair before they stand up like nothing happened, they fix their suspiciously unbroken glasses and catch Noa’s words about wanting to ask a boy.

”I know what you mean, in a way it sort of is ‘intimate’ especially if it’s your first ‘date’. If you want to ask him, just ask him, if he says no just ask someone else. There are plenty of people who must be dying to go with you Noa. You’re a total catch…I heard my brother say that to a girl once. Thought it’d fit the situation.” Lucie says this in a daze, still shocked that they fell out of a tree and have no bruises or scars. They are also shocked that those rather wise words came from their mouth and have a victorious look on their face, they can be very wise when the situation calls for it.

They grab a chocolate frog out of their seemingly bottomless bag and opens it, the frog leaps out of their hands and tries to make its escape, only for Lucie to grasp it with both of their hands, Sneaky little bugger.

“I’ll tell you what, if you ask him even if he says no, you and your family can come to my house for Yule….Christmas. You too Ali, the more the merrier. I hope you girls have eaten Chilean food, and if you haven’t you don’t know what you’re missing. My father’s Cazuela and Pan amasado con pebre are to die for but you’ll reanimate just to eat it again.” Lucie says this enthusiastically and with a large smile on their face, sometimes you could just forget that Lucie is Hispanic-British, but one thing is for certain and that’s that Lucie will go on and on about their father’s amazing cooking.

”Tienes que venir a mi casa para Navidad.” Lucie says in a matter-of-fact tone.

Translation: “You have to come to my house for Christmas.”

Fun Fact: Lucie is in fact Hispanic/Chilean on their deceased mother’s side but their family functions more as a Hispanic household than a normal English household so….The more you know I guess 😂!
