Riley Bluemount | Ravenclaw | First Year

Riley is the middle child of three, born in the country side of Ireland on 31 Oct 2011. Her parents, both orphaned during the wizarding wars, worked together in the Department of Magical Creatures at the Ministry of Magic for several years. Her father's sister set them on the path to getting married to each other when she saw them leaving together as she picked up her brother from work one evening. After which, they left the ministry to create a Magical Creature Zoo and Rescue Center in the countryside of Ireland. Some of their creatures often cause chaos but it is one that has always been at the heart of Riley's family. It is also due to this chaos, that their Aunt insisted they have a residence in Dublin with a Floo Network fireplace at both locations, so their home would not burn down should an incident occur with one of the rescued creatures.

Her older brother now works as a researcher for the Ministry of Magic in the Magical Creatures Department and is roped into volunteering at the Zoo with their parents when he visits. Their Aunt, who is always finding new ways to invite trouble with Riley's younger sister also live at the Zoo with Riley's Parents. The summer before Riley attended school, they set free the petting zoo gnomes in Riley's room one night, a typical prank the members of their family love to play on each other. One thing Riley loves about this is that they always are meant with joy in mind and never hold grudges afterwards.

During Riley's childhood she began to grow flowers trailing behind her as she did her chores for the zoo to cover the stench of some of their creatures. Along with her chores, she was also tutored by her parents and aunt before coming to Hogwarts. It was because of her responsible demeaner that her parents never worried about her magic but steadily hoped that she would focus on something besides school work at Hogwarts. Riley's childhood friends were her siblings and some of the creatures she grew up around. She wishes to be the co-owner and operator of her family's zoo and rescue with her brother when she is old enough to take over for her parents.

First Instance of Magic:
Riley was an early bloomer, literally. When she turned six she was upset because she wanted to have flowers on her birthday. It was in the middle of fall, and she had not run out of the house but a few steps when flowers bloomed everywhere her feet had landed.
