It was time to study in the early morning before Ivy started any of her classes, Potions was the class she was most excited for, she wondered how many Hufflepuffs would be in her classes that morning, hopefully, a lot more than she’d seen yesterday. She was still nervous about her classes, but she had to admit to herself it was good to spend some time working with all her peers instead of alone. As Ivy was flipping through the many different books on the shelves, a book suddenly flew onto the floor. Ivy looked around to make sure nobody was watching and picked up the book, putting it back onto the shelf. “Sorry.” She muttered to herself under her breath, trying to keep calm as she closed her eyes briefly, praying silently for someone else to save her from embarrassment. The books didn't do much to help when you were being clumsy. She knew that.
Ivy then walked over to one of the empty tables and laid out her books, one was for studying potions, one was for herbology, and one was for charms. They were all in varying colors and styles so they wouldn't clash. They were supposed to be for when she became the Head Girl, although Ivy doubted she would. Most girls in their class were particularly intelligent or well-versed in magical creatures and potions. Suddenly another student walked up to Ivy and sat down next to her.

Riley looked around the library with several books in her hands desperate to find somewhere to place them. Sadly, the library was a bit crowded today, but her parents had told her to make friends while she was here. Afterall, people can mind books better than some of the creatures she had spent her entire childhood around. She wandered around for a bit before finally spotting a free place at a table next to a Hufflepuff girl who was surrounded by books. Hers looked to be the advanced topics for first years. Riley, herself, had carried more basic books for first years in her pile as well as three other books on the care of magical creatures as well. She quickly placed her large pile on the table before someone else could claim the spot and sat down.
She took a moment to examine the girl who may have been a second year now that she was closer and could see the Hufflepuff more clearly. Describing her as a daughter of daylight would not have been far off with her golden complexion and house colors. Not to mention that her hair framed her face with a bright halo affect.
"Sorry, I didn't meant to make that loud of a thud. It's just that the books are so heavy and I really need figure out how to use the floating charm. Is this seat taken?" Riley asked, rambling only slightly in her nervousness.
