Pondering About Upcoming Events
September 1st, 2023 Hogwarts Express Interacting with:
Finding herself at the heart of a dimly lit compartment, belonging to the Hogwarts Express, Juliana Allen, the only daughter of Vera and Rob Allen, slowly came around from a short nap that could be labeled as the most enjoyed nap of her life. Deeds from a previous day highly added on the positive feeling that resonated within her warm body, wrapped in a brown colored knitted cardigan. She couldn't wish for more than a cuddly, friendly scottish fold cat with the same pair of brown eloquent eyes as Juliana. The second she beheld its enchanting gaze, Juliana couldn't help but feel drawn to the newly received pet. She woud lie to herself by saying that she didn't expect any of the gifts she had gotten from her parents few days before leaving the house. Despite knowing that the only source of love was unfortunately, getting expensive gifts from her parents, Juliana wanted to keep at least a glimmer of hope, fooling herself into thinking that Vera and Rob actually cared about her more than that. Owning the cat was the best thing to occur, because even it the darkest times, she could count on her cat - her only true friend.
Already missing the warmth of Kangaroo's fur, the eleven year old girl pondered about upcoming events she would consider as her dearest memories in few months. And even amidst the optimistic thoughts, the realization of visiting completely unknown place, with strangers by her side, distress intruded into Juliana's body without permission. It genuinely stressed her out. Scared her even. Experiences from the muggle world gifted her with caution and casual expectations for the worst - "What if I end up alone for the rest of the year? What if I find no friends?" All kinds of questions ran through her vociferous mind and they weren't planning on vanishing any soon, either.
As soon as she gracefully reached for a deep red book with golden letters on the covers, laying right next to her, Juliana's mind seemed to relax a bit. Although the unusual absence of headphones and her favourite tunes, didn't let Juliana at ease. She shifted her focus on the glass compartment door and spied on other students that scurried by - unfortunately not catching anyone's face, but only their silhouette during their fast walking by. A very much familiar feeling grew at the pit of her stomach - jealousy. Oh how much she desired to exchange her life with any other student that wasn't a First Year. Of course, Juliana read uncountable amount of books about Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but somehow, she knew the experience will teach her more than any book ever found. Standing there, in the middle of the Great Hall and actually having to belong somewhere - it appeared as terrifying in her eyes. "Maybe it is all unnecessary and people there are welcoming."
She deeply wondered if there was a huge difference between Hogwarts and the local school back at Newport. In the end, Juliana was on her way to find out for herself.
