Alright, what was next on his list? Books...and a lot of them. None of them sounded that interesting except for the Book of Spells. Spells, you say...? Now that was something he'd be willing to learn. What class was that in, anyway? Jade tried to remember quietly to himself as he walked down the cobble stone road, completely missing the ice cream parlour he had just passed. "Charms, was it...?" He asked himself, squinting up at the sky as if the answer would be within the fluffy cotton candy like clouds.

"Now, where is that book store?" He grumbled softly to himself, running off in a random direction...which just so happened to lead him back to Madam Malkins which then lead him to...the ice cream parlour. "Well, I suppose a little distraction wouldn't hurt..." He read the sign aloud, his mouth practically watering as he saw other witches and wizards his age eating their own cup of Florean Fortescue's ice cream. "Looks good..."

Without a second thought he entered the building, immediately being greeted by a warm looking face. "Hi, and welcome to Florean Forescue's Ice Cream Parlour!" An employee said cheerfully, almost too cheerfully. "What can I get ya?" Jade looked up at the menu, and his eyes immediately fell on the Earl Grey and Lavender flavor. "I, uh...will get the Earl Grey and Lavender, please." He stuttered on the beginning of his sentence, and he mentally cursed himself. "Coming right up!" She said in that usual bubbly voice, scooping him some of the desired sweet. Right when he went to his pocket to grab his wallet, he came to a sudden realization...they don't take 'their' kind of money here. "Um...miss?" He asked, getting ready to use his poor puppy dog eyes on her. "I don't have enough money to pay for this..." The employee only laughed...and laughed...and laughed some more that Jade wondered if it were hurting her throat. "Oh, you silly goose!" She pointed towards a sign that read 'ALL FIRST YEARS OF HOGWARTS GET TWO SCOOPS FREE!'. Jade stared at the board in embarrassment...how could he have missed that when theres posters literally everywhere?

"Oh...uh, thank you..." He took the cup, scooting away as fast as he could as his pale cheeks turned red in embarrassment. Once outside, he took a seat by the benches and took a spoonful of the ice cream into his mouth, his embarrassed expression melting into that of pure bliss.

"Yum...~"

Daphne looked up from her ice cream at the boy who had entered the ice cream parlor. She smiled as he made the same mistake she did. When he went to sit down, she was torn between two worlds. She could ask him to sit down with her, or she could watch him wander. On one hand, she would be able to make a new friend, but on the other, she would have to interact with him, something that she loathed doing. She contemplated this, but then noticed he was gone. "So much for that plan." She let her thoughts wander again. What house would she be in? What house would HE be in? What if she was put on the Quidditch team? At that, she laughed. She was never put on any sports team in the muggle world, why would a world she knew next to nothing about put her on one of there most famous sports teams? She sighed, getting up. Walking outside, she took out her list of school supplies. The books were all alright, but looking now at the other things. Where was she going to find this stuff? "What are these things?" She hadn't meant to say it out loud, but she was pretty sure no one was listening.
