Clean-up Time Solo Errand Completed

A request had been made to clear up the plants that had popped up in the Forbidden Forest and Grounds. As Ember was a first year, and wasn't allowed in the Forbidden Forest yet, she decided to do what she could to those she found at the border. It didn't take too long for her to find them, the strong smell of rotten meat giving away their location. The stench was nearly enough to make her gag, especially because her sense of smell was stronger than usual. She was armed with gloves, a sack, and a trowel to dig them up with.

A part of her still wondered about where the weeds had come from, and what properties they had. Other than the obvious qualities of being foul smelling and and an unpleasant thing to look at. Ember couldn't help but feel bad that she was digging them up. They were an invasive species, yes, but surely there was a way they could be replanted elsewhere rather than disposed of? The roots were much deeper than she had expected, and it wasn't long before she began sweating over the task despite the cold weather. Although Ember enjoyed gardening, she much preferring planting and caring for plants rather than getting rid of them, even if they were weeds.

After a dreary morning spent on uprooting the plants, her sack was finally full. There, that would be enough for the day. Tiredness seeped into every part of her being, down into her bones. Ember was ready to take a long shower, and perhaps nap afterwards. She was glad to be done.
