No, no, no...
Jade walked down the cobblestone pathways as his mop of grey and pale teal hair bounced with every step. He held a piece of paper that, in big bold letters, read Appendix - Supply List. Apparently it was a list--sent by the Hogwarts headmaster Mister. Zachary Winslow--of all the supplies he wound need for this year to run by smoothly. The very first thing on his list that was essential was a wand. How could anyone be a good wizard or witch without a wand, right? A small grin graced his usual stoic expression as he looked around for the famed Ollivanders wand shop. It was evident that he was quite excited to be allotted his very own wand that he would probably use until the day he died! He searched for the shop, his flat shoes thumping against the cobble stone roads as he tried pushing his way through the crowd of people--and non-people.
His eyes glistened in excitement as he saw the narrow shop dead ahead, 'Olivanders' printed in a dim golden lettering. He proudly marched his way into the shop, reaching for the handle until he heard a loud BOOM! The ground beneath him shook a bit, and he heard a few muffled voices behind the wooden door. He suddenly had second thoughts. What could have possibly made such a sound? His eyebrows knitted together in confusion as he turned the door handle, peeking his little head into the wand shop.
Everything, and I do mean everything was everywhere in every place. Paper, boxes, and people scattered through out the room. The floor seemed wet...and so did the people who were in the shop as well. "No, no, no..." An old man, who he supposed was Ollivander, shook his head in disapproval as he took the wand from a young girl and placed it back into a velvety red slender box. He set it back among some other boxes and pulled out another in one swift movement, unboxing it afterward and presenting it to the red headed girl. "22,1 cm chestnut wood and snallygaster heartstring. Take it for a spin." He smiled down at her, his pure white hair almost making him look like an evil scientist. She flicked it downward, and a warm gust of air flew around her frame, swirling around her and thankfully not breaking anything in the process. "Ah, there you are, Ms. Anderson. Now, do run along. You have plenty of more things to purchase on that list of yours. Good day." He bowed his head in acknowledgement, and she happily ran off with her new wand in hand.
Jade cautiously over stepped boxes and stray pieces of paper, trying his hardest not to trip and fall and make an embarrassment out of himself. He popped up at Ollivanders desk, straightening out his clothes while looking up at him with enthusiasm, something he rarely emoted.
"Hello, sir! I'd like to buy a wand, please." He asked politely, swiping some of his bangs out of the way of his vision. He only nodded, looked him up and down, and smiled. "Ah, I have just the thing for you, Sir Dubois..." He said . Jade didn't even bother to ask how he knew his name, and just stared at the grey haired man as he pulled out a long box before setting it down on his desk, unboxing it afterward. "10 3/4, hornbean, pheonix feather. Quite rigid." He commented, handing it over to the young boy. "Give it a spin." Jade stared down at the wand, picking it up by its handle before flicking it downward. In the distance, he could hear a glass shattering which made him jump in surprise. "Nope..." He shook his head, handing it back to him afterward. "I see...try this." He pulled out a black box with a curvy shaped wand. "10", Hawthorn, Snallygaster heartstring" He said, handing it to him handle first. He grasped it gently, giving it a small twirl before letting out a soft gasp. A thunderstorm had brewed right above them, but Ollivander canceled it with a spell he couldn't even make out with how loud the thunder was booming. "A special case, I see." He only smiled despite getting rained on...who knows how many times today. "How about...this one?"
This wand came in a purple box, and his mouth slowly curled into a smile as he saw it get unboxed. "24,2 centimeters, mayhaw wood, and snallygaster heartstring, don't you think?" He asked, and Jade could only nod his head, but he didn't know if this was the one for him. He grasped the handle, it twirled it in the air a bit. Similar to how the young girl from before waved her special wand, a gust of warm wind encircled him, making the papers that stuck to the floor dance around him. "Ah, this is the one, Sir Dubois! It's quite rigid, rather powerful, but requires to be firmly handled and expects conviction from its owner" He exclaimed, the same smile he had as Jade arrived still stuck on his wrinkly old face. "Do you like it?" Jade looked down at his wand, a wide smile tugging at his thin lips.
"No, no, no...I love it!"

Tuan was walking down the stone path. He had just finished buying his required books and school supplies and also his clothes.
"Now all I need is a wand!" said Tuan to himself "The most exciting part!"

OLIVANDERS
MAKERS OF FINE WANDS, SINCE 382 B.C
Tuan opened the door and stepped inside. He saw a boy there and Mr.Olivander, certainly.
"Hello, Mr.Olivander and you, too," Tuan said, " I'd like to buy a wand!"
"I know just right, try this, young boy," said Mr.Olivander happily, disappeared into those high shells "Here. 12 inches, raven wood, troll whisker. Give it a spin"
Tuan took it from Mr.Olivander and gave it a spin. Boxes flew out of somewhere and started to explode. Mr.Olivander waved his wand quickly and the boxes stopped. He disappeared again and came out with a brown box:
"Here, 11.5 inches, Blackwood wood, and unicorn hair."
Tuan gave another spin. Boom! The table was on fire! Mr.Olivander seem normal and twirled his wand. The fire suddenly stopped.
"Let's try this one. 35,7 cm, Aspen wood, and snallygaster heartstring"
Tuan gave another hopeful spin and a gust of warm air encircled him. Mr.Olivander smiled and nodded in pleased.
"I love this one, thank you Mr.Olivander!" said Tuan.

No, no, no...
Nova held her father's hand as they walked along the cobbled streets of Diagon Alley. Nova couldn't even contain her excitement--she was going to get her first wand! She'd be able to do actual magic! She felt her father squeeze her hand--he was excited for her as well.
Walking into the cluttered store, Nova noticed boxes scattered everywhere. The boxes reminded her of where her father stored his wand--he rarely even used his wand unless he was working, still trying to disassociate himself as much as possible from the magical world. But Nova loved to sneak his wand into her room late at night, just to let her fingers graze the fine wood and imagining how her father must've cast great spells while fighting in the Second Wizarding War. The War was probably the last time he ever used his wand for himself, for Nova knows the aftermath is what led her father to giving up magic. Or so he tells her, she wasn't born then, after all.
"Ah, Sirius-" Ollivander began.
"Hamidi, now, sir. I go by Sirius Hamidi," her father quickly addressed, then motioned towards Nova. Nova stepped up, giving a sly grin. She was so ready to have her own wand.
Ollivander gave her a small smile, then turned again to look at her father, then back at her again.
"I know just the thing for you," he said with a glint in his eyes. He walked to the back of the store and stayed there for what seemed like eternity, finally reappearing with two plain gray boxes in his arms. He opened the first one and revealed a shiny brownish-gold wand, long and straight.
"Cherry wood with a unicorn hair core. Wands like this work very well with the more Muggle-inclined wizard," Ollivander said with a wink.
Nova arched her brow and took the wand, giving it a small flick. Immediately boxes escaped their shelves and tumbled to the floor, making Nova yelp and almost drop the wand.
"No, no, no, that won't do. But that's alright, I was only thinking how much of your mother you'd have in you. No, no, you must have more of your father, so this must be the wand, I'm sure of it--willow wood with a phoenix feather core, made for those with great potential destined to go on dangerous quests."
Nova's eyes widened in delight, excitedly grabbing the wand and giving it a flick. She felt a warmth go through her arm, as if the wand suddenly became an extension of her own arm. She knew that this wand was hers.
"Ah, you are your father's daughter then indeed. I even recall your late brother having a willow wand as well-" Ollivander began as Nova's father placed two gold coins on the table and began ushering her out.
"That's enough," Nova's dad said sternly, eyes turning dark, and with a firm push on the back Nova was out the door. Nova remained silent, twirling her wand back and forth between her fingers gently, knowing better than to say anything to her father when his dead first child was brought up. This is probably why he never wants to bring me here. Or talk much about his past. Nova thought, but began daydreaming about the kind of wizard her brother was while they walked back down the cobbled street.
