8. The Hierophant
Character Prompt: Write about a tradition your character carries out. Why do they do so? How important is that tradition to them?

Every year, when Christmas is just around the corner, Emeline along with the help of her parents, host a party! For their annual Christmas party, they invite all of their friends over for a big dinner, games, movies, all of those party things. Emeline loves their Christmas party, it’s always so much fun and she gets to be with her friends. This years was a little but different for her without Ava and Bailey, but she’s already made some new friends, so it works out. Although different, this years party was probably the best one yet! Emeline is in charge of making invitations, which she takes great pleasure in, and after her parents buy sweets and treats, she puts them all together. Her mom and dad cook a big dinner for everyone, and Emeline likes decorations the house so that when the guests come it looks very festive. Their Christmas party is always a highlight of her year, for her and everyone else there. They really go all out for the party, since they only do it once a year. Christmas music is played of course, a huge dinner is served, desserts come out, games are played, talking with friends, festive decorations, everything fun you can imagine! It really gets everyone into Christmas spirit and just provides a really fun night. It’s a night you can enjoy and just forget about whatever bad things are going on in your life, one big reason why Emeline loves it so much, but really she just gets to party with her friends!
