Preptober Prompts 2023 (Week 4, Extra Prompt 2)

3. The Sun
Character Prompt: Write about your character doing something that they love or winning a competition. Why do they enjoy it so much?
Setting Prompt: Write about a good day in your setting. What is there to do? Why would people enjoy visiting?

Emeline has a major passion for writing, she practices it every single day by creating her very own stories of all sorts. She dreams that one day she’ll be able to officially publish some of her works, but she knows she will need to improve first. Hoping that sharing her stories with others will help her make it to her dream faster, she tells her English teacher about her current project: a mystery novel. Of course, her teacher is really supportive of her writing and wants to de her best to help Emeline. The teacher reads over what she has so far of the story and enjoys it much more than she thought, and thinks that it is actually a very good book. Emeline is really pleased with this and is now motivated to work on it some more, since this is just a little bit after loosing her friends and was feeling unhappy. It takes her a few more months of work, many of which she didn’t do anything because she was so upset, but she finally finishes it. Emeline’s English teacher informs her about a writing contest where people who participate can enter a book they also wrote for a chance on winning. After a bit of thought, Emeline decides that this could be a huge opportunity for her and decides on joining. To her great awe, she ends up winning first place in the competition with her mystery novel. She is very happy with herself and also thanks her teacher, for being the one who told her about it, and for this she is ever so great full.
