Walk in the Park (or on the Grounds)
AJ rushed outside as soon as the last class ended for the day. They couldn't wait to get some fresh air. A migraine had hit halfway into Potions class, and doing a Potion during class did not help at all. So, they were in a hurry for some cool, relaxing air. And they sighed in relief. The weather was perfect to stroll and destress from all the classwork that had been done during the day.
AJ decided to move slowly and admire the clouds in the sky. Sometimes they made these strange shapes, and AJ sometimes liked to see if any of the spirit animals were calling to them from the clouds, alerting them with a sign. Fun fact to know about AJ was that they believed in God, but also in spirit animals. They loved animals so so much.
AJ started to walk absentmindedly, being caught in the grip of the clouds and the beautiful sunset appearing in the early evening sky. It was such a nice day out, so they took off their robe and messily tied it around their waist, letting their whole body take in the awesome feeling of the outdoors. AJ was so entranced that they didn't even realize it when they bumped into somebody, but they did. It jolted them awake suddenly from daydreaming as they turned around to see who they had bumped into. It was a Hufflepuff boy with long green hair. "Oops. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you. Ooh. I love your hair color!!
I'm AJ Adams. What's your name?"

Walk in the Park (or on the Grounds)
Veil wouldn't let a new environment stop his continuous search for inspiration. The weather was nice, the only clouds shown seemed to piece together naturally with the sun. Of course, he'd already had inspiration that he found indoors, once when he'd been settled into his dorm. However, that was mainly first-day-of-important-public-school-anxiety inspiration. He didn't like that.
He wanted to be inspired by something that held no fears, something he was not familiar with. The outdoors was always that inspiration before attending Hogwarts, so he figured he would go outdoors just as he'd done before. That is how he found himself walking outside on a peaceful day, noting bits and pieces of what he saw in his head. He'd let out a small gasp as something clicked, and he seemed to fade out of reality as he felt something click in his head.
Reality was a slap in the face, poetry stumbling out of his head as he ran into someone. Just like the poetry from his head, his supplies also fell onto the ground. His journal opened up to a page that had an unfinished poem, while his quill and ink bottle landed beside it. The words on the page read:
'Children are shelves of dolls,
Displayed by their parents,
Cleaned if dirty, picked up if one falls,
But only to be brought back to where they fell.'
'But if we're only dolls on display,
Then'
"Meine güte!(My goodness!)" Veil exclaimed in surprise, a habit sometimes brought to light when he feels a sudden or intense emotion, which was followed with a brief pause, before it was filled with a string of apologies.
Once he finished, he paused again, his expression turning to confusion, "Oh, ah.. Thank you.. Veil.[color]" He spoke quietly, almost hesitant to even speak.

Walk in the Park (or on the Grounds)
AJ felt so bad that they had just disrupted someone's beautiful train of thought. So they quickly proceeded to help the person pick up his stuff. "Here, let me help you pick up these books."
AJ stopped suddenly as a cool breeze swept their hair. They were reading such beautiful poetry, which actually caught their attention since they sometimes liked to write poetry themself. It seemed to be a poem about children being dolls on a shelf. It was actually sort of accurate, funny thing. "Wow, are you writing poetry?! I love poetry! I write color poetry, or poems about a single color at a time. But I must say you are really good. Would you like to walk with me? I'd love to know how you get your inspiration."
AJ offered this amazing writer, Veil, a walk throughout the grounds, hoping to share ideas and gain some inspiration for their own creative works. AJ liked anyone with a penchant for creating something out of thin air, or so it seemed. So, AJ held out their hand in open gesture of offer as they tilted their head towards the path they wanted to go on. "Come on. Let's walk, shall we?"

Walk in the Park (or on the Grounds)
Veil was a very quiet person. AJ noticed that right from the start. But that would give them the chance to crack this peep's egg and learn more about him. AJ was always on the lookout to make unique friends, and this was an opportunity just screaming AJ's name.
AJ handed Veil his books as he mumbled a quick thank you and they turned towards the path that they were wanted to walk. "How about we go this way. It's in the shade, which is nice and cool, and I love to watch all the leaves fall. It is autumn season after all," said AJ, admiring the beauty of the fall colors in the trees leaves. It was so beautiful, like one perfect painting. AJ liked even more to watch the leaves spin and flutter to the ground. It was absolutely breathtaking. But that's because AJ was easily entranced by the wonders and beauty of nature and it's living beings and spiritual beings.
AJ then turned around to talk to Veil, while simultaneously walking backwards. "So, tell me, Veil, it is, right? What do you like to do for fun. And what gave you the idea to dye your hair that color? Because it looks like the perfect color to fit your style," AJ asked to start off the conversation.

Walk in the Park (or on the Grounds)
Veil accepted his books gradually, putting all of his supplies in a bag he'd brought with. He only had them out because he hadn't planned on walking too far, plus ink bottles sometimes had a habit of breaking in bags. He'd read about multiple occasions where the ink bottles had broken and ruined books or papers. He was not about to be one of those people. Especially not in front of a possible new friend. He hoped to avoid embarrassing himself and hoped to create a good first impression above all. Well.. Starting now, that is- Before it wasn't exactly.. He sighed quietly.
"How about we go this way. It's in the shade, which is nice and cool, and I love to watch all the leaves fall. It is autumn season after all," AJ spoke as they walked, though they seemed more focused on the outside beauty.
This didn't bother Veil, the silence didn't seem so awkward because he was used to it. He merely nodded in agreement as they continued to walk. His eyes focused on the ground, almost afraid to look up. Was he afraid? No. He didn't think he was, at least. What was there to be afraid of? Well, he could name a lot of things, but most seemed unlikely in this situation. He took note of the fact he was definitely overthinking, but what could he do? He closed his eyes for a moment, glancing at AJ, before glancing back away again. Maybe he was really afraid to make eye contact.. But that would be silly.
"So, tell me, Veil, it is, right? What do you like to do for fun. And what gave you the idea to dye your hair that color? Because it looks like an awesome color to match your whole style," AJ made Veil jump slightly as they spoke up again, but he'd nod quickly after the first question.
He kept his eyes low, but he considered the other question, followed by the statement. He thought back to when he was around nine, the day he got his hair dyed, it was his birthday. He'd seen muggles with colorful hair colors that were certainly not normal, so he asked about it. His original pale blonde hair color was fine, but he was always told his hair looked a lot like his father's father. If he wasn't allowed to know much about that man, then why should he be allowed to have the hair? The way he saw it, it just annoyed him.
From that moment, he wanted to change his to a different color, even if it was a muggle thing. His parents had used the Crinus Muto for his birthday, but it wasn't temporary. Later that day, he'd finally been able to dye his hair the way he'd felt it should be. It was like a puzzle piece fitted for him. Though, back to AJ's question, he didn't understand what style she was talking about.
He finally spoke quietly, "Me. It just felt right. I guess.. I see myself as this color. It's not exactly green, it's not exactly blue, but it also has a sense of familiarity. I-I don't really know if that makes sense, but.."
