░⌟~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Potions Class in the morning had been long and very demanding of Gyda in every way. After a short break, she was rushed into a long class of History of Magic. A full-on theoretical class on the origins of Hogwarts and what not. Of course, being from a wizarding family, the history of Hogwarts was not entirely new. And while there we some fun and interesting new facts, most of it was repetition. Her grandmother and mother made sure she knew all about the school she was going to spend seven years of her life. So, while paying attention, mostly, she had doodled a bit on some parchment, waiting for the class to end.
Now that it was finally lunch time, Gyda decided to hole herself up in the corridors for a bit. Most students would storm the Great Hall at lunch time, and it would be way too crowded for Gyda's taste. Twenty minutes would be more than enough for Gyda to eat, so she would wait a while, before going to the Great Hall herself. By then, most students had left the Great Hall to be chaotic elsewhere in the castle or on the castlegrounds.
In the afternoon she would have a double block of Herbology. Truthfully, she kind of looked forward to it. Herbology was a class in which she could totally zone-out once she was working. Caring for the plants was very calming, compared to stressing over stirring the right way during Potions. So, she was somewhat excited for the rest of the day.
Gyda took a seat on a bench, somewhere in the corridors, not too far from the Great Hall, and pulled a book from her satchel. She started reading. No academic literature during her lunch break, of course, but a book about a girl, a dragon and a magizoologist. Gyda ever being the hopeless romantic.Words: 312
