A Great Start
Holly was overjoyed. She finally got herself on the Hogwarts Express! For two whole years, she had to watch her big brother go alone to Hogwarts, who was somewhere further ahead among his friends. Meanwhile, she had just found a seat and could now look out the window. Her smiling mother waved to her, whereupon she immediately waved back. This woman was usually very strict with a fiery temperament, known for starting with anything and every quarrel. Today, however, she was surprisingly calm and rejoiced with her. Most likely because her dear brother hasn't done anything stupid yet.
Make friends. That's what she's looking forward to. All she had at home was her brother. Basically because of three reasons: father, mother, and brother. No Joke.
Her father had only work and career in mind and was not very social when it came to close ties outside the family. Her mother was, as already said, very quarrelsome and literally could not stand it if she could not start a fight. Her brother played pranks up to no more and beyond. And since she is the youngest, the reputation and prejudices about her family precede. Which is why she hopes to make her own name in Hogwarts. As a nice person.
So, to find at least ONE person. That would be great.
… And she already saw her mother starting a quarrel with some other lady and heard her brother playing pranks. She sighed. What a great start.

A Great Start
Lenz entered the train, dragging her suitcases behind her. Maybe she shouldn't have taken so many things, but at home, while she packed her bags, it seemed like a great idea. She wanted her new bedroom to have a cozy and homey atmosphere, but how else to create it, if not to bring almost half of her room with her? But looking at that number of suitcases now, the idea doesn't seem so great to her anymore. Maybe she should have asked her mom for help to take half of the suitcases and help carry them to the train. But Lenz immediately rejected this idea, because she should be independent. She needs to show her mom that she's going to be okay and that Annabelle doesn't have to worry about her daughter.
Thinking of her mother, Lenz went to the window to wave to her again. Annabel was still standing on the platform and seeing her daughter through the window of the train, she smiled sincerely and gently waved back. She is probably going to stay on the platform until the train leaves.
Smiling, Lenz moved away from the window and walked down the corridor. In order not to drag her suitcases all over the train, Lenz decided to first find a free compartment, and only then cary all her things there.
It turned out that almost all compartments were already occupied. In some of them sat groups of senior students who were cheerfully and energetically talking about something. In others, two or three people were sitting, but they also seemed to be old friends or just starting their friendship. This made Lenz sad.
She didn't know anyone here and was too shy to ask to join some company. She wishes one of her friends or relatives were with her right now, but Lily won't be eleven until next year and Kenneth graduated two years ago. But that's ok, she will definitely find friends at Hogwarts.
With such thoughts, she reached almost the end of the train and finally found a free compartment. Breathing a sigh of relief, Lenz quickly ran for her suitcases to get them into the compartment before anyone else took the free seat.
After a few minutes, she was happily sitting by the window and watched with delight as the Hogwarts Express slowly began to move. She closed her eyes and made a single wish "that her life at Hogwarts would bring her wonderful memories and good friends."

A Great Start
Was she invisible in any way? A girl just came in with a lot of luggage. Did she pack her entire home into these suitcases? A little arrogant to just burst in, take a seat, and ignore her completely. Be that as it may, she knows such behavior from her brother, yet she was a little surprised, "Um... Hello?" Maybe this stranger had actually just not seen her? Of course, she was never as striking as her brother or her mother, but she never became forgotten or completely obscured, as if she were air. A bumpy start, but maybe just a misunderstanding.
Holly wasn't angry or resentful. She only ever really resented one person in her entire life. That would be her brother after he turned her favorite Pullover into a bunch of spiders last year. She paid him back by telling her mother what he had done with his baby pictures the year before. He got scolded and had to fix the pictures. It took him two weeks. And yes, Mother didn't believe him when he tried to tell her it wasn't him. He deserved it and he had it coming.
But she thought that girl didn't mean to be rude, so she smiled, “My name is Holly. Holly Adams. What's yours?” she reached out her hand to her to shake hands. Maybe she could make a new friend.
