The beginning of a new journey ☆
September 1st, 2023
The first of September is an incredibly exciting day full of events and emotions. Many, in fact, may think that it is an ordinary day, because children go to school and adults go to work, there is nothing unusual in this. But for eleven-year-old Lenz, this day was just a grand celebration. This summer, on her eleventh birthday, she received the long-awaited letter from Hogwarts. Since she was born in a family of pure-blood wizards, she knew about the school of witchcraft and wizardry from childhood and all this time she was eagerly waiting for her letter. But even the knowledge of the existence of magic and the school for wizards did not reduce the awe that the girl felt. The door to countless opportunities opened before her and she is willing to absorb every drop of knowledge that awaits her with joy.
Thanks to her brother's stories, she had already heard a lot of interesting things about the school, so she would like to get there as soon as possible and see all those corridors, classes and landscapes with her own eyes.
That is why, on the morning of September 1, she woke up before everyone else and started checking her suitcases to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything. After that, time flew incredibly quickly: they had a quick breakfast; the father went to work, before that he hugged his daughter tightly and wished her a good school year; Lenz and her mother took all the things and apparated in one of the cozy streets near King's Cross.
On the way to the station, mother and daughter had an energetic conversation about houses, they were thinking about which house Lenz would get into.
"I think you'll be in Ravenclaw. If Kenneth followed in his father's footsteps, you look a lot like me, sunshine," said Annabelle.
Annabel herself was in Ravenclaw, and her husband was in Gryffindor. Their eldest son, Kenneth, is an exact copy of his father, which is why he also got into Gryffindor. It remained to be seen which house Lenz would get into.
In fact, the girl was not too worried about it, she will be happy with any house, because in each of them there are wonderful people and there are opportunities for development everywhere.
They didn't even notice how they got to the station because of their conversations. Surprisingly, there were not many people, so Lenz and her mother were able to got to the platform 9 3/4 in peace.

This is not her first visit to the platform, she had already visited this place before when she accompanied her brother to school with her parents. Then she was sad because she would only be able to see Kenneth during the holidays. But now this place evoked completely different emotions in her and she seemed to see the platform with a new perspective.
The platform was filled with a huge crowd of wizards rushing to and fro trying to get their children onto the train. There was still plenty of time before the Hogwarts Express left, but many parents were worried that their children would forget to bring something. But there were also those who were in no hurry and calmly stood and chatted on the platform while they still had a little time.
Lenz and her mother decided to take their time and stand a little apart from the others to be able to say goodbye in silence.
"Remember, you'll be fine. You're a kind, smart girl, I'm sure you'll make lots of friends and your time at Hogwarts will be full of great memories." Annabel said as she hugged her daughter.
"Thanks, mom. I'm going to miss you so much, so expect an owl from me a few times a week!" Lenz said, giving her mom a big hug in return.
Annabel gently laughed at her daughter's answer and kissed Lenz on the forehead.
"Okay, love, we'll be looking forward to all your letters. Promise me to tell us your impression of school, okay?"
"Promise."
"Great. And now, it's time for you to get on the train so you won't be late. Be careful and remember that we love you very much," Annabelle hugged her daughter one more time.
Lenz took her things, waved to her mother, shouted "I love you" and headed for the train.
Students were rushing around, now quickly trying to get on the train in order to be in time for its departure. The platform buzzed, made noise and simply lived its life. Lenz smiled. This is where her new journey begins.
