Task 1 - Make a Plan
What ideas do you have? Think about organising them in some way so they create a coherent storyline (e.g. a synopsis, a timeline, etc). There are a few different structures you can use to help with planning, Freytag's Pyramid and The Hero's Journey being some of the more well-known ones, but you don't have to use those if you have another you think fits your storyline better.

Emeline Barron, or Emmie, a fifteen year old girl has just lost some people who had been very important to her. Yes, they are still alive, yes, Emeline still sees them, but the two people that used to be her best friends for years have just betrayed her. Now, Emeline has no one to go to, no friends to help her. Right before her fifteenth birthday, her friends of six years suddenly ghosted her, and she had no idea why. Emeline spent her birthday alone, and the rest of her summer the same way. When school had started up again, she found out that these girls would be in the same homeroom as her, she was hoping they would be able to talk. When they returned, her old friends were nothing like how they had been just a few months ago. They looked completely different, acted completely different, and talked different. When she approached them and tried to talk to them like normal, the girls acted like they had never known her. Emeline started feeling angrier and more upset as the days alone went on, still trying to figure out what she had done wrong. After a few weeks, she slowly started making some friends, and realizing that this event of loosing her friends, may have been a blessing in disguise. Her life began to grow better and better every passing day, and she finally realizes what had happened and what had been happening between her and her friends for years. Through your the school year, she becomes happy, and positive, and starts to see things the way they should be seen. Later on, as in a few months til the end of the school year, Emelines old friends go up to her and try to talk to her. She is naturally very surprised bu y his because they had ghosted and then ignored her for so long, and at first they apologize. Emeline is hesitant to forgive them, and as she is thinking about it, her old friends get mad at her for not accepting it and an argument between them starts, leaving Emeline broken inside. She goes back to being upset for a few weeks after the interaction, as old feelings and memories are resurfaced. She now has to fight these feelings again in order to go back to being her real, happy, self. A story about friendships, coming of age, and finding your true self.

Task 2 - Create a Character/Setting
Who do you want to be in your story? Where do you want it to be set? You have a choice of either developing a character for your story or the setting of your story (or both if you can), but I'd like to see as much detail as possible for either. If you are creating a character, you can describe their appearance, their backstory, any strengths or weaknesses or character flaws, their motivations and maybe even why they are significant to the plot. If you are creating a setting, you can develop the area's history, describe its current appearance, mention any significant characters that are located there and again include the location's significance to the plot.

Characters: wc: 442
Emeline
The main characters name is Emeline. She is a fifteen year old girl from Indiana. She is naturally a pretty girl, with long brown hair that reaches her lower back when straightened, though it’s usually wavy, and deep blue eyes that sparkle in the sun. Her face is round, and her facial features are small, along with the rest of her body, being only 5’3. She is a kind soul, and has a generous heart. Emeline also is sensitive, especially around those she does or has cared about. She’s really smart, and tries to make time for everything, studies, other people, and extra curriculum. She sometimes us too focused on helping others and making sure that they feel okay that she will forget about taking care of herself. She tries to help people around her because she feels that she cannot help herself. When she sees problems in the world happening, she tries to do what she can to help fix them, even if it only has a minimal effect. Emeline works and thinks her best while having something going on in the background, preferably music. She is willing to do whatever she needs to help those she cares about, and to get back at those who have hurt her.
Bailey
Bailey used to be Emeline best friend, they had been for the past six years. She is impulsive, and can get pretty mean. She’s not the best in school, and when people try to help her (with anything) she heavily dislikes it and will usually show the person that. Neither Bailey nor her other best friend Ava are particularly good at making friends, but they love their little friend group, so that’s ok with them. After Emeline upsets her, unbeknownst to Emeline, Bailey gets very mad, and that’s when problems start.
Ava
Ava can be easily viewed as a sweet, pretty, and kind person by first glance, but once you start talking to her, she is no such. She has two younger siblings and they are just like her. Mean, cold, close minded, and liars. Ava likes to tell people lies about them in order to make them feel bad or to gain more attention to herself. She doesn’t have a good reason for being mean to people, she just likes to, and doesn’t care about their feelings, Ava has said so herself. Once you start to become friends with her, Ava does not let you leave easily, you are most likely stuck “friends” with her for a long time, unless her best friend Bailey hates you, then she will do whatever she needs in order to get rid of you.
Setting: wc: 404
For the majority of the story, it is set inside of a school. The school is a normal, typical high school, in the state of Indiana. Indiana is located in the mid-west of the United States of America, and has lots of little lakes and some small hills. The school the characters attend is filled with boys, girls, and anyone else attending from the ages of 14 till 17. The schools math teacher has a bad habit of arriving to class on time every period after lunch, so since the students usually get to the class before her, that’s when the fight between Emeline and her old friends happens. All of the classrooms look very similar, and quite large, but everyone knows where they sit, even if there is no plan. Emeline often spends her time outside of school in her room, alone. She has a larger than average sized room, and it is decorated very nicely. It has colourful lights around the walls, a light coloured desk, two mirrors, one on either side of her room, and a queen sized bed. She has all of the basic room equipment, like her desk, bed, dresser, her own closet, and so on, and she gets her bathroom to herself. Over the head of her bed, that is where Emeline keeps all of her posters, mostly of bands or movies/TV shows. She lives in a nice, not too busy, neighbourhood, in her house with her parents. The walls of the house are painted either pearl white, cream, or a light grey. They have lots of living room area and a few TV’s throughout the house, it’s overall a pretty nice place to stay, even though the house was pretty cheap. The year the story is set it is 2023, it starts on July 12th, just a few days before Emelines birthday on the 18th. She lives in a smaller area, unlike most of the kids at her school, like Bailey and Ava, who live near most others in a more well known community. The main community is fairly old, definitely not new, but not ancient. Emelines community on the other hand, is a lot newer, a bit less developed, and has much fewer people. Most people in their city are pretty nice, though obviously not all, but the high school isn’t too big population wise, so most people know everyone there, even those of different grades.

Task 3 - Make a schedule
How often will you be able to work on your story? Set a daily/weekly goal to reach, and hopefully it can help to motivate you, or make it seem easier to complete 50,000 words in November. To reach 50,000 words, you will need to do at least 1670 words per day, or 12,500 words per week, but you are welcome to create a schedule that fits your availability.

I will do at least 1670 words everyday, if I am not able to complete this, I will make up for it that weeks Sunday. So if I am 30 short on Wednesday, I will do 1700 words on Sunday, instead of 1670. I’ll try to get 12,500 words per week!
