Maverick was taking a rest. He supposed that after what had happened the previous week, he was not so quick to speed on his Firebolt today; but there was always something exciting about brooms and speed, they had a certain charm, and he therefore could not resist too much. This time, however, he would make sure he listened to his body more, whether when it tried to tell him if it was tired, thirsty, or hungry.
Currently, it wanted him to sit in the shades and so down he went. The second year landed right next to the water bottle and Muggle magazine he had situated under a big tree earlier, sitting and enjoying the motorcycle pictures in the magazine Uncle Francesco had sent to him just a couple of days ago. Judged by its cover, this issue seemed to be a special edition: 30 BIKES REVIEWED INSIDE! was printed in block golden letters on a glossy white background.
The part-Veela wondered if this was some kind of marketing technique, a result of cooperative work between the reporters and some bike manufacturers, or perhaps dealers. He himself was a reporter, but only for the small scale of the school newspaper, and thus had never got the chance to experience something similar.
But whatever this was, Maverick figured he would have a good time enjoying and admiring the motorcycle photos, maybe even dreaming of which one he ought to get once he was of age.
