A Moral Dilemma
Esme strolled on the grass of the grounds. It was afternoon, a free period, and Esme decided she should probably spend it outside, enjoying the sun at it's highest.
Her brown eyes glittered as she looked at the vast lake, how beautiful and scenic it was. She took with her a nice looking tart from lunch and made her way closer and closer to the water, once there, she sat and stared into it for a moment, then she had the feeling to look at other things and soon she noticed something different. A person, more specifically, a girl. Esme assumed the girl was in her year, maybe 11-12. Esme wondered what she was up to, she was unsure of whether or not to speak, if she was ignored then she probably wouldn't push trying to speak...ugh an embarrassment.
She scooted toward the dark haired girl, and spoke; "Hello there, er...my name is Esme." An introduction should be a good start off, she supposed. Esme then looked at the sky and turned to look at the girl beside her. "Nice whether. Comparable to autumn in my hometown.." was she going too far, saying too much? Whatever, she had to make an effort, perhaps she could make a new friend, Kristin would like that.

A Moral Dilemma
Annabelle doesn't like how happy everyone is at Hogwarts, they're away from their family and their smiling about it? It's confusing and she needs to find somewhere to think, luckily the school has a huge lake with many places to think around it. She walks towards the lake, not to jump in but to just look at it. Before she could finish her thinking, she felt a presence next to her and sees a gitl in a Hufflepuff uniform. The girl ,who says her name is Esme, starts rambling on about the weather and her hometown.
Annabelle narrows her different colored eyes at the girl before saying, "Annabelle. Are you a mudblood? You sure talk like one Esme." She hissed the girl's name with a menacing tone of voice. She might be a halfblood. She seems like she practically vomits pixies and pygmy puffs.
Despite being aware of how harsh she's being, Annabelle's aunt has always told her that she shouldn't have to apologize and that it's always the other person's fault. As she stares at the girl she starts to analyze her, Esme is shorter than her which is surprising considering Annabelle is 4'8. Esme is South Asian and has shining brown eyes, if she is a mudblood all she has going for her is her looks. Okay maybe that thought is a little harsh.

A Moral Dilemma
Esme flinched from the sudden insult...should she really take that as an insult though?...Thats neither here nor there. "Āiyā(ouch). That was a bit unnecessary, I'm pureblooded but I guess you wouldn't know that."
"Are you alright, you seem really...edgy right now." She made a bit of distance between them in case of an altercation, but wasn't leaving. Her expression was a sad smile, what exactly is the problem? She wondered what Kristin would do? Should she even continue? Esme looked into Anna's multicolored eyes and sighed. "I assume you aren't too fond of people that aren't "pureblooded," she did air quotes "but I can see that you probably can't tell the difference." She relaxes her previously tense posture. "Maybe we can discuss this, I once was similar to you, almost..." She was embarrassed just thinking about it, she shuddered and cringed. "What do you say?"
Esme wondered what she'd be getting herself into, maybe trouble, maybe Anna would do a jinx and make Esme blow fire out her nose for hours, maybe Anna would just leave, out of annoyance, but Esme had to try based on the simple fact that she didn't like to see anyone this unhappy, she didn't want to leave knowing that someone was this bitter. Where'd this positivity come from? Who knows.
