akina walked into her assigned greenhouse and took a seat, rocking slowly in her seat from side to side. herbology wasn't her favorite class, but it was definitely more fun than history of magic. yuck. history was sooo boring. there was no counting how many times she had fallen asleep in that disappointing class. she just despised history in general. charms on the other hand, there was no way she could fall asleep! there was too much excitement going on all the time, with random objects being catapulted into the air at random times. as usual, akina had chosen a seat all the way on the edge, and closest to the door. mostly because she was too lazy to have to cross the whole greenhouse just to get to her next class. another reason she usually went to the side was because she only got to sit next to one person, and if she were lucky, sit next to no one. now, akina didn't really enjoy "being in the dark" all the time, but she was okay with it. akina looked to her right and saw an unoccupied chair. good, it's not taken...yet akina thought. but there was no hiding from the truth that there was still 4 more minutes until class officially started, and not to mention that there were no other available seats.. 240 more seconds until someone might sit there akina worried. she forced herself to stop worrying about this and turned her attention to some notes that she had taken earlier so she could do something valuable with her time.

Image posted by the member		 I looked at my schedule, finding my next class: Herbology. Herbology want my favorite, but I definitely didn’t hate it, I loved all of my subjects, muggle and wizarding. I was almost late, so I needed to speed up a little bit. When I got to the greenhouse, almost all of the seats were already taken, but I noticed one was available beside a Gryffindor girl. I walked over to her an smiled, I asked her “Hey! Can I sit here?”. I hoped she’d let me, but she kind of had to, since there were no others that were empty. The girl seemed to be looking at some notes, I’m pretty sure from another class, this one hasn’t started yet, so I don’t think I’ve missed anything. Maybe she’s just looking at her notes so that no one comes up to her I thought maybe she doesn’t want me to sit here. For some reason, I started to worry, but I hoped that this was just another chance to make a new friend. “I’m Delainie, Delainie Silverwing” I told her. “What’s your name?”. I stuck out my hand for her to shake, only if she wanted to. Why did I do that? I’ve never done that before, so I even know how to shake hands?! I thought. Image posted by the member

akina stared at the newcomer and scanned her from head to toe. the girl was a pretty person, with long hair flowing down her neck. she was a ravenclaw, akina could tell from her dark blue-lined robes. with a jolt akina realized that the girl was asking if she could sit there. akina nodded quickly, not wanting to seem rude or mean. the girl introduced herself as delainie, which in akina's opinion was one of the most beautiful names she had ever heard. putting away her notes, akina watched the girl to see what she would do next for a bit. "that's a pretty name. i'm akina," akina said as a pang of jealousy zoomed through her. a ravenclaw! this girl was so lucky. akina's brilliance was enough to be a fifth year's, but somehow, the hat thought akina was soooo fit to become a gryffindor and sooo brave. but, hello? hello? how can that hat just ignore akina's brilliance? akina realized that delainie had her hand out, holding it for akina to shake. akina quickly shook her hand a bit too lightly. she retrieved her hand, feeling awkward. akina suddenly wished that she hadn't put away her notes, because at least her hands would have been occupied instead of twisting them around each other.

Don’t wish for it,
The girl looked at me up and down, at first I was scared that she was judging me. I started fidgeting with the fingers, nervous now. Unexpectedly, the girl nodded, I thought she didn’t like me, just from impressions. I gently and carefully took a seat next to the girl, who said her name was Akina. I smiled at her after she said that I had a nice name! “Oh why thank you!” I said “yours is quite lovely as well” I smiled. I still had my hand extended, even after sitting down for some reason, and I felt really stupid. Akina must have noticed this because she too reached out and shook my hand. It was a light shake from the other girls part, but my mother had always told me that firm handshakes were best, so that’s what I did, though I didn’t mind hers. “I kind of thought I was going to be late, I’ve never been late before” I said in a weak attempt to try and start some conversation. “I don’t like being late at all but I guess it wouldn’t be too bad since Herbology definitely isn’t my favorite class”. I really hoped Akina didn’t like Herbology wait her, or else I may have not said the right thing, which wouldn’t be the greatest.
