Edmund didn't feel ready at all. Everything had happened so quickly since the mysterious professor appeared at his house with the acceptance letter and explained to his parents about a whole world beyond their imagination, and now he stood alone for the first time, on the verge of embarking on his first real adventure. He had devoured countless books, both fictional and real, but this... this is actually real and it's truly magnificent. The special train before him would soon carry him to his new school, Hogwarts.

"Everything will be fine." he reassured himself with a deep breath, attempting to calm his nerves before finally stepping onto the train. It took some time, but he eventually located an empty compartment. He had hoped for solitude but knew someone might join him soon. He gazed out of the window, observing the bustling scene as people bid farewell to their families.

Thoughts of his parents flooded his mind. He had said goodbye to them just minutes ago, right before passing through the magical barrier between platform 9 and 10. Already, he missed them dearly, and it nearly brought tears to his eyes. His mind buzzed with questions, a mix of curiosity, hesitation, and excitement. Yet, he recalled his mother's soothing words, "Relax and enjoy the journey, my dear Ed." she had whispered while giving him a warm hug. As he continued to peer outside the window, he noticed that many of his fellow students were also setting out on this adventure alone, just like him.

Coral slid open the glass compartment door. Without a single glance at the boy sitting in the compartment, she came in and hauled her trunk onto the rack. She sat down and closed her eyes with a heavy sigh.
Mere minutes ago, she had been outside on Platform 9 3/4 with her fretting mother.
“Coral dear, you have everything?” Eleanor Fernsby had asked very worriedly.
“Yes, Mum,” Coral sighed, saying this for the tenth time, “You can always send me an owl if I have forgotten anything.”
Eleanor had bit her lip so that it almost bleed, and embraced Coral in a rather tight hug.
She let go and had gently nudged her daughter toward the gleaming red train.
“Go.” Eleanor whispered, silent tears streaming down her face. “You’ll have so much fun…”
Coral seemed on the verge of tears, but she dragged her heavy luggage into the train.
Snapping back to reality, the red-headed girl stared the boy sitting across from her.
Whoops, she thought, embarrassed, I thought this compartment was empty.
Coral waved slightly to the boy. She cleared her throat and said, “Sorry! I didn’t mean to barge in…”
She smiled sheepishly, brushing her braided hair off her shoulder.

Sophia is over everything already, platform 9 and 3/4 was an absolute madhouse. Being an only child and living in a Manor made for quite a quit child hood. Yes, Sophia did go to alot of social functions and was used to people being loud but this, this was a different type of loud. When they received their Hogwarts Letter they were over the moon and couldn't stop talking about it but that wore off as they realised how far they would be from their family. Sophia has never been away from their family for long periods of time but their mother reminded them that they can always just send an owl when their lonely. Shacking their head Sophia tried to get rid of the negative thoughts. Looking up at the Hogwarts Express Sophia was still amazed at the sight of the train they had never seen anything like it. Seeing the train brought back the excitement that they had. Hugging their parents a quick goodbye after promising to write, Sophia made her way towards the train, weaving their way through the crowd. Stepping inside they started searching for a compartment before all of them fills, finally after minutes, that felt like hours because of their trunk, Sophia found a compartment with just two people inside. Sophia took a deep breath and then knocked before opening the compartment door. "Hello, do you mind if I join you?" Sophia asked as politely as they could. Hoping that the occupants will say yes.

Coral glanced at the newcomer, who had just entered the compartment. Her bright blue eyes seemed to be scanning Sophia….
"Hello, do you mind if I join you?” Sophia asked politely.
Coral shrugged slightly and made a rather odd gesture with her hands, which bore multiple bracelets of different colors and shapes.
“It’s fine with me. Not sure if it’s okay with him, though.” She said and nodded in the direction of Edmund.
She reached up to the trunk rack and moved her heavy trunk to the side of its rack to make room for Sophia’s trunk.
Coral smiled at them and waited for Edmund’s reply.
She twisted her long braided hair in her fingers, aware of the sudden awkward silence.
Then she remember everything she was leaving behind at the station 9 3/4…
Her mother…Ivy, Piper…her dad.
She frowned.
I’ll miss them…, Coral thought sadly, So, so much.
She pushed the thought away and stared out the window of the train, thinking about her new life at Hogwarts.
New friends, new home, basically new everything.
But Piper would join her soon. And maybe even Ivy.
Pinching herself, just as she had when she got the Hogwarts letter, just to make sure this wasn’t a dream of some sort. Or a trick.
Coral looked back at the other two.

Edmund was completely lost in his thoughts as he peered out of the window, watching the last few students boarding the train after exchanging hugs and goodbyes with their families. He couldn't stop thinking about what awaited him. In just a few hours, he would start his first year at the best magic school in the world, or so he had been told. The thought sent a shiver down his spine, filling him with a mix of excitement and anxiety.

Edmund turned as he heard the compartment's door being opened, and he watched as a girl came in and sat across from him with a huff, closing her eyes. He gave her a once-over and stared for what might have been a bit too long, admiring her braids. The girl suddenly opened her eyes and seemed to finally realize she wasn't sitting alone. "Sorry! I didn’t mean to barge in…" the girl finally said. Edmund, with his cheeks softly turning red, offered a smile and shook his head. "It's okay. There is enough space."

As soon as he said that, another student walked in. "Hello, do you mind if I join you?" they asked. "Not at all. Please come in," the little boy replied. "I am Edmund Ayala. This will be my first year at Hogwarts." He politely introduced himself, still wearing a smile on his face. He looked shyly between the two, as if waiting for them to say something.

Sophia smiled gratefully at the occupants of the compartment, before they walked in. They took out their satchel out of their trunk and afterwards placed it on top of the rack. They decided to take a seat next to the girl with the two braids and purple tips. "I am Edmund Ayala. This will be my first year at Hogwarts."The boy with the black hair and green eyes said. Edmund it's a nice name in Sophia's opinion. Sophia nodded politely at him,if they were correct he was a muggleborn. It will be interesting getting to know him. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance Edmund. I'm Sophia, Sophia Seprico or as my parents love to say Sophia Salazar Seprico" Sophia said laughing softly at the end, they hated when their parents did that. In Sophia's opinion their name was just as weird as they were, "However my friends usually call me Kiran or Serpico. By the way you have a really nice name." They added as they really didn't like being called Sophia as it never felt like their name. And Edmund was really a nice name, also compliments are a good foundation to build friendship upon. Rolling out their shoulders to get rid of the tension there. Sophia took out a book about Alchemy from their satchel, as they were quite fascinated with the subject. However they waited for the other girl to introduce herself before they would start reading.
