It was just another day at school, and Botan was walking through the halls at his school. Botan had not been attending Mahoutokoro for very long, but he knew exactly where his next class was.

Botan was not your average teenage boy, as he had few friends, and devoted tons of time studying. why did he do this? You see, his cousin Akihiko also attended Mahoutokoro, and the two boys were extremely competitive. Like, Botan would do anything to beat him, at pretty much anything. Botan happened to always feel like his cousin was winning. And honestly, most of the time he did. What Botan didn't know was that both boys felt the exact same way. They both always felt like the other was better. Which wasn't true. Sure, Botan occasionally won games they played, and so did Akihiko, but they still had their own separate feelings and lives. Occasionally Botan wanted to get along with his cousin, but it just never worked out.

Continuing on his way to class, Botan hurried through the halls. The halls were packed with other students trying to get to class just like him. They were packs of girls, chattering and giggling and boys doing their own thing. Botan hurried past them, and he whipped quickly around the corner and crashed into a girl about his age, or maybe younger, who sent his books flying in, spilled her drink all over his brand new robes.

“What the hell was that for?!” He said in English.

hana is in the hall in between classes and accidetally spills something on botan. botan is angry, so he runs after her. she is faster than he is, so his only solution is to play a prank back.

Classes was so boring. Hana could barely shake off Aiko, a girl in her year. that girl was so creepy, she kept sucking up to hana which made her so irritating. even worse, she kept talking to hana during the lesson, saying stuff like if she could come over to her house during the holidays. How was she asking her that? They only met today, she was in breakfast, eating a nice egg roll before Aiko appeared out of nowhere, and enthusiastically introduced herself, and stuck next to hana the whole day.

The class had ended and students were all spilling out of the rooms into the corridor, laughing and chatting. Hana took this opportunity to blend in with the crowd so that she'd loose Aiko. As she walked through the crowd, she turned around to see the bobbing head of Aiko as she looked around, confused. Hana curled her lip and continued along with the crowd like a fish with its school. After she got to a corner, she turned around sharply, down a corridor before smoothing her hair out and getting a brush out to brush her hair. she was so focused on brushing her hair, an unexpected force collided with her and her brush went flying onto the floor. she turned to see a boy with an angry glare, his robes dripping wet. She laughed, before quickly disguising it with a dry cough. He yelled at her and she rolled her eyes. "Jeez, don't have to be so angry, it was a mistake!" she scoffed before she glared at him.

Botan was fuming. He felt like screaming, crying or running away. Actually, wanted to do all three. This girl, who was definitely in his year, had completely ruined his books. And his robes. And everything else in his pockets, which was one thing. His journal. Botan's mind raced. His journal. His journal. No. It couldn't be. Maybe it would be fine. Or would it. He couldn't look now, because he had to respond to the girl. The girl. She had been brushing her hair in the hallway. The hallway. While walking. Why wouldn't she have stopped in the girls room or on the side of the hall near the window?

To be honest, Botan didn't even know what to say to the girl. He knew what ever he responded to her "you don't have to be so angry" remark, so he said the first thing that came to his mind.
"But these are brand new robes! And books!" He blurted. "I spent my very own money on this one!" he lied as he held up a random textbook. What he really was thinking about was his journal. It had important class notes and hints to help him on one of his up coming tests that was coming up quickly. He knew that he needed them and if they were ruined he would cry. And for real this time.

Botan slipped his hand in his pocket and pulled out his journal. It was a flimsy leather covered book, now with crinkled water stained pages. He flipped through it, trying to make out the words one one of the pages. It was no use. It was trash. Botan closed his journal and held back angry tears. "You. RUINED. My. Notes." He said as he moved towards her.

The boy seemed to take it so personally. He stood there for a few seconds, staring at his books, heaving, his eyes glittering. She really didn't know what was wrong, only a couple of books fallen, that was all. She looked at the books scattered on the floor, dripping wet. Oh well, that was her drink. This boy cost her her drink, she really wanted to drink that! She bit her lip, wondering what the boy would do next. She didn't want to pick the books up for him, it was his fault that his books fell, and she didn't want to touch those books either, not the soggy and dripping wet.

she watched as he took out a soggy wet booklet from his pocket and watched as grief spread across his face, which turned to anger. he moved towards her, a murderous expression on his face. She thought she better go, maybe run before he destroyed her. She backed away, looking behind her. Other students noticed the tension going on in the hallway and they scattered, glancing at the two. for once hana felt scared. She turned around to see if anyone would back her up, then she realized she was alone. a feeling of dread crept up to her and she smiled nervously at him. "ohh look at the time!! Better go!" she turned around and ran as fast as she could.

This girl. Botan wanted to absolutely destroy her. Embarass her. She had ruined all of his hard work and school books he had bought. Botan knew his parents would be absolutely fuming when he told them, and he would be severely punished for something a girl at his school did to him. He had to make it right without telling them.

Clutching his soggy journal and starting to pick up his books and shove them into his statchel, he looked up at the girl. She smiled awkwardly, and ran away. What the actual fu- Botan thought as he grabbed the last book, shoved it into his bag, climbed up off of the floor and ran. Why the heck has she ran away? Botan wasn't even that mad, or was he? He did not think, he just ran. running down the hall, shoving through crowds of students, he did his best to keep up with her, but she was so much faster. Botan wanted to scream, or cry, but he knew that he had to just keep running after this crazy girl who had absolutely destroyed his whole school life. He just needed this girl to stop, say sorry, give him money for some new books, and be on her way.
