“Perfection blown away” - 15^th September 2023 - 3PM - outfit: school robes

It was one of Damian’s first Potions class, and he was incredibly thrilled about it: something about creating a solution with extreme precision and rigour fascinated him, and after a few theoretical lectures it was finally time to use that cauldron he bought. He had probably studied way too much for that single practice lesson, his notes were already good enough when he took them, but he took a step forward and rewritten them in an even neater way, so that each information regarding ingredients, measurements and steps was easily readable and consultable at each time.

He was clearly in a good mood as he started the brewing process: he wasn’t doing much besides lightly smiling and following his notes, and occasionally looking at the book to double check what he was doing, but for him to not be grumpy and stressed about getting a perfect potion before anyone else in the class was definitely his good mood.

As he proceeded with the steps his full attention was rapidly shifting only towards his potion, ignoring all his classmates and their potions: he didn’t care at all how the others were doing, he only cared about his work; and judging by the smoothness of the steps already done the potion looked really promising. Nothing could go wrong, he had his potion under control, he was absolutely sure the measurements were perfect and he only had left to regularly check it.

Still, he had no interest in his classmates: the only time he shifted part of his attention to the outside was when someone who got the spot next to him entered his peripheral view, but was quickly ignored by Damian, who was much more interested in his own work.
