The fiery red hair of Bridgette Mooney could be seen entering the huge doors of the library, fiery red hair trailing behind them. It was right after supper and the femme was ecstatic about exploring the vast expanse of shelves and nooks and crannies.

They passed up the help desk in favor of exploring for their own benefit. Their green gaze swept over the shelved room, staring at the many ladders that were over ten feet tall and the towering book cases that they couldn't even see the top of with their head craned back. Their feet were moving before they could stop them and before they knew it they were before the races and abilities section, hands roving over the spines for something about any of the races or special talents that many great wizards of history possessed. It wasn't long until they found a book describing just what they thought was needed. They picked a few other books that piqued their interest, hands gripped so tight to them that it would likely leave a faint print on them once they were set down.

Bridgette toddled to the nearest nook, nearly toppling over with the amount of books in their hands. They hadn't ever seen so much knowledge stored in one place. It was a miracle. Eyes wide and heart racing at these towering shelves and the sheer substance of what they could get their hands on, what they could learn caused their face to flush with excitement. It caused their hands to slip and their feet to trip on nothing, throwing them into the floor. They would pick themself up, rubbing the back of their head and moisture hitting their eyes with the sudden pain of hitting the ground. They were always clumsy, always unorganized, never knew where their feet should be placed or if their hands should be in their pockets or not. They were awkward.

The few books that they had dropped had been scattered across the floor. Brig hurried to clean them up, noticing that one had been opened to a page about the half Vampire race known as Dhampir's. It read:

The Dhampir is a mixture of a human, muggle-born or wizard-born, and a full-blooded vampire. They are known for elongated canines, paler-than-thou skin, and over-dilated, rounded pupils when exposed to darkness. When one encounters a Dhampir, do not be afraid, as they are usually not as scary as one may think. After all, I myself am married to one!

The page looked worn, as if someone had read it over and over and over and o...ver...? They glanced up as something seemed to nag at them, pulling their focus away from the book and to their surroundings. They flipped a curly strand of red out of their face, pursing their lips while looking for the cause of this nagging sensation that refused to leave them. They stared at the stacks of books they had decided to read, and considered their options. Do they just ignore it? Or do they investigate and waste valuable time when they could be learning about things that could potentially save their life if ever faced with a violent species of creature?

It was a tough decision, but they walked over to the desk they had chosen, and started setting up for note-taking. Their parchment would go in the center of the desk with their quill and ink pot on the upper right hand corner, perfectly in reach. They opened the book that they had been looking at before that sensation had met their stomach, noting down the individual aspects of a Dhampir and how to properly interact with one.

Approaching @Bridgette Mooney

Where were those notes he had taken for Herbology? He had looked through each of his notebooks, all through his enchanted satchel, throughout his small solitary dormitory, and in the Hufflepuff Common Room. No luck. Now with an assignment due the next day and important information on those notes, he had to find them in order to complete it.

He had broom racing practice but he had not brought his bag or any of his school things with him. In fact, he had dropped it off at his dormitory before going and had given his pet rat Rascal a treat. It wasn't until after that he retrieved it and took a quick stop at the Library to look up something.

The Library. It must be there.

Simon made his way there and into the section where he was previous that day and skimmed the shelves of books. He pulled out one here, another there, but most of the books that he had looked through previously that day were not there. He glanced up and saw someone at a table not too far from the section and they had a rather large amount of books surrounding them.

Simon quietly approached. "Excuse me, mind if I look through these books for my Herbology notes? I think I might have left them in one of them." He hoped that they wouldn't put too much stock in the fact that he was looking up books on magical races, namely dhampirs, for a specific reason but then again, there wasn't really much hiding it. Especially after last year and his battle with gaining his unsettling aura. It was exhausting to try and (well, not hide it, because he never exactly tried to hide it) but at least not make it super prevalent to the entire body of Hogwarts. Still, there he stood in front of other student, pale as can be and probably those enlarged pupils from the low lighting of the Library.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)
