Judith is the child of Susan Jane Whittle and Thomas John Whittle nee Burns. Her father is a muggle who met their mother while abroad in Ireland. It wasn't love at first sight for the two but after accidentally meeting each other over four times, the two decided to go on a date. One date turned into two and two into three, not before long the two began to date. For their first year it was long distance as Thomas lived in Canada, but as a surprise to Susan for their one-year anniversary, Thomas got his work visa and moved to Ireland. They shared a small one-bedroom flat in Dublin.
A few months later Susan got pregnant and the couple decided it was best for them to get married. On the night of their wedding, Susan told Thomas that she was a witch. Surprised and a little worried, Thomas accepted his wife for who she was, although he was worried for the health of his unborn child and wife. After being reassured that their child would be okay, Thomas became very curious about the wizarding world. Soon after their marriage the couple decided to move to the seaside just outside of Carlingford, just far enough away from muggles to raise their child without the fear if being found out, but close enough to a town for Thomas to work in.
Judith Holly Whittle was born on a chilly Monday in the early morning in June. Judy was born in her parents cottage. Her mother and father were concerned of accidental magic happening so they called in a medi-witch and a midwife to help with the delivery. Judy’s birth was overall a calm birth, nothing bad happened to either Susan or her new baby.
As Judy began to grow up, she got her grandfather’s red hair, including the poliosis of her grandmother’s side of the family, and her fathers brown eyes. Early on in Judy’s life, her parent’s noticed that she had trouble focusing on certain things, so they decided to get her glasses. They decided to keep the glasses, as money was pretty tight at the time, but Judy loves the glasses. They’re clunky and red square glasses, but Judy refuses to get new ones, even if her parents offered it.
Judy's parents decided it would be best for them to be homeschooled in the art of magic. Thomas would tutor Judy in basic subjects such as literature and the sciences while Susan would teach Judy the magical subjects. Judy's favorite subject growing up is potions because it reminds her of cooking with her father. On the weekends, Judy's father would take them to the nearest museum to learn about muggle history and other topics.
Judy grew up in the Irish countryside near the costal town of Carlingford. Her favorite hobby was to climb the beech tree in her backyard. Judy had been excited to climb that day, it was surprisingly sunny outside, with big white clouds and a gentle wind. Judy loved to see the view from her tree, but after going a little too fast, Judy felt herself slip.
Within a few moments, Judy felt herself fall backwards. In the few seconds that she was falling, Judy could feel herself scream. Judy braced herself for impact, only to realize it was coming. Opening her eyes, when had she closed them, Judy looked around to see she was slowly floating down. Once she had touched the ground, she quickly ran inside to her parent’s safety.
From then on, Judy was hesitant to go anywhere near the tree. On one hand, she used her first show of accidental magic, but on the other she’d almost fallen to her death. Her fear won out and she avoided climbing the tree, just in case something bad happened once more.
A few years later, Judy got over this fear after flying with her cousin for the first time. Soon she remembered the reason why they’d climbed the old beech tree, the feeling of the salty wind in her face and hair, the amazing views of the nearby farms and the ocean. Even the speed and thrill of flying, oh she loved it all. This is one of the best feelings, in Judy’s humble opinion
