Diane Archer, met Ivan Novak a year after finishing his studies at Hogwarts, having belonged to the Ravenclaw house. That day she went to the last Quidditch World Cup held in Norway, where Great Britain and Norway faced each other for the world cup. Like Romeo and Juliet, the two of them met on the border between the white carp and the blue carp, and fell in love almost automatically. Diane discovered that Ivan had attended Durmstrang, that he was very similar to her, and that the competition between the two countries did not make them rivals, quite the contrary.
They both had a few weeks of pure happiness, secret escapes and a love that was as young as it was irresponsible. And the regret came when, some time later, she discovered that she was pregnant. They were both too young, and although her family rejected them in disgust, the Novaks welcomed the couple to Norway, in a magical city in the far north called Tromso. There, where the aurora borealis shone for six long months of pure night and where the cold hardened the snow, Edward Novak was born.
Edward was raised by his loving grandparents while his parents tried to hold down a steady job, and he only remembers good times. His mansion was one of the largest and most beautiful in the area, as the Novak surname had a certain prestige due to its purity of blood and its antiquity in the Nordic magical world. It also turns out that they are all metamorphmagus, a rare ability that some wizards are born with, and allows them to alter their appearance without the need to be animagus or take a Polyjuice Potion. Also, a metamorphmagus' hair and eyes are never just one color, but instead change based on their feelings. That is why meeting one in the magical world usually attracts a lot of attention. The Novaks were always well-liked in the village, both for this peculiarity and for their loving kindness. The boy grew up surrounded by gifts, affection and a bit of over-protection.
The first time he experienced magic, he was five years old. Edward was playing in a snowy park near his mansion under the watchful eye of his grandmother, when older children approached to take his place on the swing. Used to always having what he wants, Edward felt completely disgusted, and before any adult could control the situation, he started a tantrum. He never noticed that, with each cry and tear shed, the children's snot inflated like balloons. Soon, they were crying with their mothers, and Edward returned to the swing as if nothing had happened, having a wonderful afternoon in the light of the aurora.

Edward was always a small looking boy; extremely thin and short in height, without much strength. His bones stick out at every joint in his body, and he has a total of five pairs of ribs visible without the need to raise his arms. His only toned muscles are those of his thighs and legs, since the sports he practices train only that part of the body. He was born with a small bone problem called "Joint Hypermobility Syndrome", and although it has many advantages in terms of his mobility, it also makes him quite fragile and prone to breaking, dislocating or spraining.
He has very pale skin, and the most striking thing about his body is that it is full of spots and freckles from head to toe. He has them in unexpected places, such as his fingers, feet or even his ears, and they have been the object of everyone's attention for a long time. On top of that, he has enviable, pompous curls, an upturned nose, and full lips that tend more toward purple than pink. The color of his hair and his irises are never the same, since his status as a metamorphmagus causes them to change constantly. Edward has a list of colors that he associates with the emotions he feels, and although he always discovers new ones, it is very useful for people who ask what one color or the other means. His dark circles are a little marked, like his cheekbones. His eyebrows are bushy and his nails are quite large, the kind that when they grow they look like claws.

His personality is a bit more complicated, Edward has so many facets. He is smart enough to act strategically towards certain people. For example, it could be said that it is usually the favorite of adults. Well educated, friendly, a child who always waits his turn to speak, is willing to help with whatever it takes and seems very responsible. He is the typical friend who must go yes or yes to the meeting so that your parents allow you to attend. It is usually the good example, the admiration of any adult. However, Edward can go from being a precious angel to being a rampaging demon when the adults and teachers aren't looking. He has a bit foul-mouthed, capricious, rude and runny. He doesn't like that people consider him less than what he is, he hates that they believe that he is not capable of certain things and he could do whatever it takes to prove them wrong. He is competitive, hates losing, and loves to debate. He has the power of the word, a very sharp and smooth tongue, is extremely honest and has no problem with socializing. He is talkative, a bit nosy and intense.
But not everything is black or white. Edward is sensitive, trustworthy, and a good listener to others. Despite being very sociable, he doesn't usually talk about himself or the things that happen to him. He doesn't like to be asked how he is, how he feels, or what's wrong, as talks about his own feelings make him uncomfortable. He prefers to solve the problems of others. Edward is loyal, a good companion, and very accommodating with people he likes. He is righteous, he would fight for anything he deems unfair, and he likes to protect the weak, even if he doesn't know them. As for relationships with other people, he tends to be somewhat impersonal and disinterested, it might even seem that he doesn't mind losing friends. For Edward, nothing is that big of a deal.
Edward has a problem that embarrasses him, and it is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. He is embarrassed to admit that he forgets things, that he cannot sit still, and that he has the same memory as a fish. It's hard for him to pay attention when he doesn't take his potion, and he usually takes it for tests or for situations that he knows will be important. This disorder accounts for his intensity, his tendency to be an unbearable fidget who always wants to do millions of things, but can't focus on any specific one for more than ten minutes. He gets bored very easily.
He will never think badly of people when he meets them, he trusts first impressions and is usually very positive. The only thing he does not tolerate is dirt, both personally and around him. Her things are always messy, but extremely clean and perfumed.

Being raised by your grandparents has certain advantages, such as the ability to adapt to housework. Her grandmother taught him to knit, to sew, to cook any type of food, to look after himself and to clean like the best housewife, while her grandfather taught him to play chess, checkers and any game of letters that one could imagine. It should be noted that both were raised in another time, and they are proud to admit that the child learned the best from each other. However, what best defines Edward's extracurricular life is sports. At the age of five, his parents enrolled him in a circus academy for wizards, where he learned some of his favorite disciplines: trapeze and cloth. To that love for the circus was added the best sport that he could know at the age of eight, ice skating. He joined a wizard's club when he moved to Scotland, and while he also found a circus venue, skating became a bit more important to him. He had a born knack for artistic sports, was springy, graceful, quick and agile, and had even won a local tournament before receiving his Hogwarts letter. However, Edward packed his skates in the trunk in case the castle's Black Lake froze over enough.
Edward has a lot of tastes that he's not good at. For example, he loves to sing, but he's hyper out of tune. He also likes to play the guitar, but he only plays a few chords or songs from memory. He's good at drawing, but to show a decent piece he would have to spend at least three hours concentrating on it, and that's extremely difficult for him. As for subjects, he adores History of Magic, although it is the subject in which he does the worst. He's excellent at potions, but it's his least favorite class because the room is too dank and dark. He doesn't like meat very much, and tries to eat as little as possible without becoming unhealthy. He adores animals, and is saving to buy a cat since they are his favorites, along with fish. He doesn't know how to swim, but he is determined to overcome his fear and learn.
He is terrified of storms, and of all very loud sounds in general, such as explosions or gunshots. He doesn't know how to act under pressure and he feels more fear than he tries to pretend. He tends to chew more than he can digest, figuratively speaking, and tends to get into trouble whith his relatives.

Edward didn't want to move out of Norway, but he had to accept it. His parents' job allowed them to buy a beautiful three-story house in Inverness, Scotland, with the entire attic becoming their bedroom. He was even able to add those beautiful windows to the petticoat ceiling that allowed him to see the sky, even though there were no northern lights above it. His mother raised magical pets such as krups, puffskeins, and occasional silenced fwoopers, while his father became an Unspeakable from the Department of Mysteries. Edward gets along very well with his mother, and although his relationship with his father is somewhat hostile, the three of them manage to live together in peace as a happy little family.
