History/Background Story: Esme was born in Guangzhou, China with an older brother and sister, as well as her mother and father. Her sister is the oldest and her name is Jin Xiao, and her brother was the middle child, named Xi'an Xiao. Since Esme was going to live most of her life in Europe, they gave her a European name so she could blend well. She was raised well but was socially deformed somewhat, she can hold a conversation if it's formal but otherwise she usually seems shy. At the age of 4 she was moved to the UK because her parents learned about the success of Hogwarts. It seemed like an ideal school for their new daughter and so they moved to the UK, in Scotland. Staking out a living wasn't hard, her father found work in the ministry to provide and her mother decided she would stay home to watch Same grow, closely watching how she behaved for traces of magic. Sure enough, at age 8 she explained to her mother what happened with a fly in their backyard, she petrified it out of fear for a second (unintentionally of course).Soon after, Hogwarts would recognize this and send the letter to the Xiao family. Everybody jumped for joy, Esme was confused however, she wasn't sure what everyone was happy for until they told her, it was a special feeling to be exceptional in that moment. After a day or two passed with that information sunken in her brain, she red a few books about the school, curiosity peaking about it's history, especially the amount of times the school has bounced back even after almost failing. Esme couldn't help but wonder what house she'd be in? How would she do? Would she have friends? Soon this turned into a fear: Is this experience what she thinks it is? It was especially frustrating because obviously all her other family members went to school outside of the UK. She soon decided she'd just have to wait, even if the wait was killing her, even if the days were longer because of the wait. She just has to be patient. Once she did her school shopping and got everything she needed, the magical world seemed so big, I mean, she was exposed to magic, it's the only thing she's ever known, but now she finally got to dip into it, she got to experience and experiment for herself. Her siblings began to show her the cool things magic could do, how it could get you out of tough situations, how it could make chores easy or even it's fun and whimsical elements. That only made the wait longer in her mind...
