The youngster and his grandma had an especially busy evening today, which had been a little stressful.

The room appeared to be largely a mess, with open bags that contained both semi-filled and empty items, as well as full suitcases of clothing that were lying around randomly close to his bed. Most of them were garments he didn't wish to wear and he intended on discarding them. He was staring in front of the mirror and doing his best to fight the sadness as his grandmother entered his room.

"Ashley! Look at the mess you've made in this place!" her granny said. Ashley continued to look into the mirror while silently sobbing. He failed to respond to his grandmother and lacked the necessary courage to even attempt to speak. The boy's grandmother walked up to him and grabbed his shoulder. " It's acceptable to be afraid of change but at times when we actually have no choice but to accept it."His beloved grandmother hesitated in an effort to give him a proper response.

He spoke in the saddest possible tone, "I feel like I am....losing something." He considered all of his friends, including Irina Sousa, Lucian Mornstern, his broom race partners, and his main adversary, Avery Leveret, just to name a few he encountered that made his journey worthwhile. He had one of the best experiences of his life thanks to some people he met during his Hogwarts journey.

"Oh, Laddie, it makes sense. You've lost a lot, and more importantly, a piece of yourself was lost when you lost your parents. However, you found yourself, and you were undoubtedly content, especially with, um, what's his name, Lucina?"

He clarified to his grandmother, whilst having a little giggling, "You mean Lucian. How did you know about him? You two have not met, have you?, Nana, and I've never mentioned him to you. "

"Oh my sweetheart, you were calling his name in your dreams, he seemed to be a great friend of yours. "Even in his wildest dreams, the boy could not help but think of the other boy he had first fallen for, which made him feel a little uncomfortable and awkward, but it was his grandma after all.

"You know it's rude to listen in on other people's dream conversations, right?" stated Ashley.
"Stupid you!" They both laughed as the child began to massage his eyes and brush his anxieties away. "Remember, this is my house," Nana said.

"Try sending him a letter; it might help you feel satisfied and it will stop him from wondering why you haven't returned to Hogwarts."

Ashley shook his head and walked over to his little desk, setting down a parchment and a quill.

"Thanks, Nana." he smiled as his grandmother went to the the kitchen to do other tasks.

In particular, composing a letter for Lucian, Ashley sighed hard, not knowing what to do, where to start, or what to say.

He started writing and his letter contained the following message;

Dearest,

I am writing this letter to you with a heavy heart because it may bring a bitter-sweet taste to you.

I am saddened to inform you that, I shall not be returning to Hogwarts after school break. Both my grandma and I have decided to relocate to a new place.

In addition, I will likely be attending Durnstrang Institute. I do hope to achieve greater things there and most important, I hope to meet you soon.

For now, it's goodbye and I truly love you!

Yours truly,
Ashley Montez

Although Ashley was only semi-satisfied with the letter, it was unfortunate that it couldn't be helped. Even though he would have liked to add more, he just didn't know what to add more. He secretly hoped Lucian would appreciate receiving this letter well. He cared for the other youngster and wished him well.

The child wrote a letter and then sealed it before leaving it on the kitchen table for his grandmother to send. After that, he returned to his room to begin packing.
