The Realm of Magic
Dark brown eyes peered from beneath the hood of his plain black cloak as the sun scarcely danced on his face from the movement of his cloak. Terrance found himself being accompanied by his father today. His old man wanted to see him off to what was supposed to be his first time actually in a wizarding environment without him. The duo approached the doors of the train resulting in both of them stopping to take a pause. Terrence looked at the doors briefly before his eyes scanned across the windows. He was nervous, his palms were sweaty, it was that awful first day of school feeling all over again. "Remember what we talked about, this place is the same as any other place, just be your self and listen to your instructors." His father, Horace Howlite informed. The words quickly grasped Terrence's attention causing him to turn towards his father. Who was standing towards his right. The area was busy, and he found a few others going around him to board. Terrence would step to the side with his father so that he wouldn't block the entrance to the train. "I got it dad, You just know how I am with making friends." Terrence replied.
His thumb and index finger massaging one another as they rubbed together, a weird habit he had when getting nervous. "This may seem weird son, but real friends choose you. And it usually feels genuine from the start. If you have to pretend, then they're not your friends." His father added. The train would blow signaling their time was coming to an end. This made Terrence feel even more nervous, he couldn't finish talking to his dad and it felt rushed. "Don't worry son, the head master will takes care of the entire school. worst case scenario you come back home to me, which isn't so bad if I don't say so myself. I love you and you show everyone how special you are. Oh, and take off that cloak 'til it's needed. This isn't like the movies, you don't need to look the part. Remember be your self." His father concluded with a light chuckle towards the end. "Love you too dad." He said hugging his father quickly before dashing in to the train, attempting to not let him see that he was close to shedding tears. Terrence would quickly find a seat near the window so that he could see. He and his father would give a final wave to one another as the train began to move. He took a moment to wipe his eyes before pulling off his hood, his lashes lightly glistening from the residue of moisture. The chatter and noise of the train finally seeping in as he finally began paying attention to his surroundings as he began his journey towards Hogwarts.
