Hey Cass,

Japan has been crazy. I met the uncle that Marcus told me about. He and his wife are really nice. Uncle Kenji seems a bit awkward to be honest, but his wife (my aunt-in-law, I guess? Her name's Haruka by the way) is really lovely. And she's pregnant! It was a shock to us all when we got there - apparently they wanted to surprise us.

Also yesterday I got to hangout with Hanna and Mum's parents too. Louie was crazy excited to see them all, almost knocked my Grandma Eleanor over like he did with you last year. I suspect my other grandfather is gonna be nothing like Grandpa Hirsohi. Since Marcus and Kenji really avoid talking about their dad, I wonder if I'll get to meet him or not during this trip. But even if I don't, it's been really nice meeting even a small bit of his family. Weird, but nice.

It looks like I'll still be here for my birthday next week, but I should be back home before term starts and we can grab ice cream in Diagon Alley - Mum said I could floo there on my own this year. How's your August going so far? Ready for the next school year?
