A Dancer's Dream
Role-Play as Angelique Selemine | Plot idea: Just you stumble and see her dancing, feel free to have any reaction.
Angelique was overcome with being desperate to dance once more. The feeling of hard work in her training sessions with a couple other girls, strict teachers coming over and barking out instructions - she had of course, kept up with it, but the longing to be on stage and practice with her class was something she wanted to do a lot.
To have the excitement running through you as you walked on stage, to have the music starting to play, in truth, Angelique missed it all. Coming to Hogwarts was mainly to represent her school, play games and see if she would be brave enough to go on abother adventure - but she was glad when it would end. Coming back home to her mother and father.
Suddenly, a surge of energy running through her, she sat down and warmed up slightly, from splits to backflips. She was going to try and rehearse anyway, and try to pretend that she was actually there. So, the blond tied her hair up and put herself into a starting position of her dance. She remembered the music so it played in her head, although anyone passing by wouldn't have a clue that she was singing to herself.
It felt nice to dance, even if she did it every day.

Patiently, Mathis sat outside of his cabin, waiting. His lips pursed as he peered at the students around him- most of which he failed to recognize. He wasn't looking for anyone in particular, but his eyes danced over a few of his peers, but he remained uninterested. Their faces wouldn't stay in his mind for long.
Well- that was, except for one face that Mat recognized instantaneously, his lips relaxing into a smile as he realized the girl he was looking at was none other than Angelique, one of the few people Mathis would consider a friend. That title was rarely reserved for anyone other than those he considered truly close. (So... nobody at all, really.)
In an instant he was up, maybe choosing to stretch his arm a bit before carefully approaching Angelique. The last thing he'd want is for her to accidently bump into him during her little routine. He was slightly blinded by both the bright light of the sun and also just the general being actually blind.
As Angelique continued her performance, dancing and singing with more people Mat was sure she could see, he clapped. It was both to get her attention and also to admire her mini concert. The way he clapped was specific. A lecture from his grandfather ended up in a lesson about what the appropriate way of clapping was, tapping the tips of your fingers against your palms an appropriate number of times. In this case, three times.
"Angelique! Mon ami, how are you?" He asked once he was close enough for her to hear him. "Your performance was very good, you must be a professional, right?"

The Broom Racer began to realize that someone was watching her. It took her a few moments to realize who, and her smile widened slightly. She finished with flourish, before running towards him, her long hair flying.
"Angelique! Mon ami, how are you?" He asked at once, when she was just a few meters away.
"Mat! I'm good! Always am when I am dancing." She said, a little breathlessly at the start but taking a deep breath she steadied herself, "What about you? Your eye giving you any troubles?" Angelique remembered that he had written in letters about his eye, being half-blinded must be jolly uncomfortable.
He later complimented her dancing, to which she blushed slightly, her cheeks turning a pale crimson.
"Your performance was very good, you must be a professional, right?" He said, to which she replied cheerfully.
"No, no of course not. Been on stage a couple of times and competitions but generally not professional level yet. I do want to go to the dancing school after I finish Koldovstoretz, hopeful to have a future with dancing. Do you have any plans for when you are older?" She wondered if she was being slightly tactless, so bit her lip and could be quick at changing the subject.

A sport that makes you happy just by doing it? Interesting. Mat was interested, the only 'sport' he cared to partake in something like skipping rocks. It wasn't something that required him to use both of his eyes, or really quick reaction times. Not to mention, most games required a lot of physical strength that Mat didn't have. Dancing seemed cool, though. Maybe a bit too girly for Mathis to admit he wanted to try, but still sounded cool.
"Not more than it usually does." He chuckles, shaking his head. "I doubt I'll be able to participate in any of the games or events they're putting on, though. Are you going to...?" He trailed off, tilting his head a bit. "If you are planning on doing anything like broom racing or quidditch, you should tell me. I'll go and support you."
His words seemed kind, but in all honesty, Mat just wasn't sure if he'd have anything else to do. Most of the events seemed to require a bit of good eyesight and fine motor skills- both of which Mat tended to struggle with. He had, of course, gotten better at his coordination over the years, but the idea of failing and embarrassing himself at a very basic task was giving him shudders.
"Oh, plans?" Mat shrugged, not really thinking too much about it. "I'm not sure, to be honest. I don't know if I want to go into something magical. My grand-père wants me to work for him in some business stuff he does." He shrugs and looks over at Angelique, offering a smile. "I think you'd do good in professional dancing. I've heard it's pretty stressful but you're very good at it."
