Ula was born in London, England, U.K. as Ursula Takahashi to a Japanese-born half-blooded witch Himiko Yoshioka and a famous English Muggle actor of Japanese ancestry, Kian Takahashi. Her birth followed a series of articles all titled quite similarly: "Jackie Chen Dupe, Kian Takahashi is a father". Due to her parents deciding for Ula to live a more private life, it marks one of the two times she's been mentioned by the Muggle media.

Since the young witch can recall, she has always been reminded that she's the only thing linking her parents together. Apparently, Kian Takahashi met the very attractive Himiko Yoshioka while on his vacation in Japan and what was supposed to be a one-time thing quickly turned into something bigger. Yes, Ula was very much not planned. And before Himiko realized she was carrying a child it was too late. Seeing it as easy money, the Yoshioka family quickly took advantage of the fact that their eldest daughter was pregnant with someone well known in the Muggle world. The media went berserk, calling it a scandal and the whole situation even cost her father the leading role in the Fast and Furious movie. In hopes of saving his career Kian offered the Yoshioka family a large sum of money in exchange for a collaborating media play. Himiko moved in with the young actor and soon the scandal was shut down with rumors, straying far from the truth, of the two being in love for months and wanting to raise a family together. Keeping his image safe, he found sooner than later who he invited into his wealthy estate and who actually is the woman carrying his child-a witch. Not long after, Ursula Takahashi was born.

From a young age, she was taught that rules didn't apply to you if you had money. If you ended up popping out of the right womb, you were set for life, or at least given a head start that most of the world didn't get. Her kindergarten tuition was equal to the cost of some college tuition, and her nannies had her fluent in Japanese by the time she was five. Her father owns a few vacation homes scattered across the globe, thus she traveled to more countries than most people would see in an entire life. The opportunities that Ula was granted, just because of who she was born to, were endless. Many people living on the other end of the financial spectrum would imagine that that alone would be enough to give anyone a perfect life, with no complaints, and yes, Ula is very aware that she's lucky. At the same time, things were never perfect for her, and she became aware of that at a younger age than she would have liked. Besides the obvious scripted relationship both of her parents play by, she was only around six years old when she became aware of her mothers drinking problem. A lot of people will turn to the bottle after a traumatic event, and while Himiko didn't grow into an alcoholic because she lost a parent or a child, or anything that dramatic, realizing her own family are a bunch of greedy assholes who don't really care about her wellbeing and being a mother, which she was definitely not ready to be, was enough to kick start her bad habit. Sometimes, at dinner parties with Kians close friends, guests might notice that Himiko would drink a few more glasses of wine than she should, but for someone with such a problem, she did a good job at keeping it hidden from the public. Her reasoning behind it was that she has already failed enough.

While Kian is a famous actor, never really seen at home, Himiko left behind her home country, close friends, family (even though she's cursing them any chance she gets) and her career as a potioneer for the life of the upper class house wife so she could feed her family back in Japan. Ula often felt the wrath of her mothers intoxication at home. Himiko never became physically abusive, but she certainly wasn't kind when she was drunk. It was often then, during those late-night drinking binges when she would criticize Ula for any and every thing. Her hair wasn't brushed straight enough, or the answer to a trivial question an acquaintance at the dinner party hours earlier wasn't polite enough. She wasn't befriending the right people at school, or she wasn't a grateful daughter. Even at such young age, Ula had a level of self-assurance and confidence, to a point where if those insults came from a classmate or a stranger, she wouldn't have been bothered. However, hearing it from her own mother made it different. Ula sometimes feels like her mother blames her for the way her life turned out. It forced Ula to become more insecure of herself, at least when it comes to criticism being given to her by people she actually values. It shaped her personality, and being very sensitive or at least attentive to criticism that her friends and family give her is something that still affects her today. Another thing that her mother affected was Ulas outlook on magic and the wizarding world itself. If her toddler eyes shined at the mere thought of her mother waving a magical wooden stick around, she grew quite distant towards it over the years, due to the strained relationship.

Her parents like to ignore each other, if not for the obvious, her father finds the whole witchcraft thing creepy and tends to try to disregard as many spells being spoken and strange objects he finds placed around the mansion as he can. Still, Ula being a witch herself, she maintains a better relationship with her father than her mother, but it also might be because her father frequently travels for work, so they have less time to butt heads. The said family resides in the heavily guarded Clarendon mansion in Ilford, London, U.K.

✧ first instance of magic .

She was 8 years old when it happened (and wasn't happy about it): a food fight mayhem in the school's cafeteria many articles wrote about and marked her as a spoiled brat.

At Burgess Hill Private School for Girls on a sunny Friday, as the girls were having lunch, the quiet chatter at tables was disturbed with a loud yelp by Sarah Oberon. The young Takahashi had flipped her tray full of food all over her classmate out of nowhere...at least that's what everyone believes happened. Ula was quick to recognize the situation. Did Sarah deserve that? Yes, yes she did. Was it worth it? No, Ula has been starving since math, her first period. The initial shock was quickly replaced by a glare being directed at mashed potatoes on Sarahs face. Great, she thought, the day she hoped to never happen happened and she's hungry AND Sarah just threw mashed potatoes back at her, making it stick to her hair. Before anyone could bat an eye, all hell broke loose as one of 42 girls in the room yelled "food fight!".

Word got out to the Muggle media and E!News published an article, marking her as a "Young Primadonna whose parents haven't taught her to value food".

✧ physical appearance .

Most people will admit how much Ula reminds them of some fairy princess from a children's book, with her overall aura, her "angel" like appearance, and the way she walks, almost ballerina-like. Her features are close to perfection, but they leave a rather stuck-up impression: a pointy nose, long elegant neck, full lips and monolid eyes that always seem to be glaring at something. Her young face surrounds a thick mass of dark silky tresses, that fall all the way to her hips and are naturally pin straight. For a 13-year-old girl, she's above avarage in height with long limbs, towering even over most boys her age. Reportedly, she tends to intimidate girls and boys alike in her peer group.

There's never a day where Ula doesn't look put together. Her hair is always styled in a different way than it was yesterday, if she had her hair in a braid the previous day, she's gonna have her hair let down in pretty waves the next day. She never misses a chance to accessorize it with a pretty headband, ribbons or pearl hair clips. Her fashion sense overall is classy, elegant and quite girly with elements such as: dresses, blazers with matching skirts, ruffles, bows, lace, ballet flats, diamonds and pearls.

✧ personality .

Ula may come off as your everyday school mean girl. She exerts a level of confidence that has always made it difficult for her not to do well in social hierarchy. She believes that it's easy to convince people that you're better than them if you truly believe that yourself, and it's a motto that's proven to be pretty successful for her. She isn't afraid of unbashfully staring at the way you slouched when you walked past her or glaring directly into your eyes (she believes it asserts dominance), or speaking her mind and voicing her opinion, even if it's an unpopular one. She's blunt and tends to disregard other people's feelings quite often, giving her a reputation of being mean and cold. Whether you managed to get her to like you or didn't, you'll be notified. Nevertheless, it takes quite a special someone to catch her attention in the first place, she believes she's the main character of her own story and besides a few side characters, the rest are just...there (extras if you will). She isn't too bothered by other people and will not willingly get in their line of sight unless she feels like she can profit from them in some aspect. She definitely isn't the girl for small talk. Ula's arrogant, self-centered and thinks highly of herself. Being used to getting everything she wants resulted in her becoming spoilt and lazy, therefore she tends to get explosively emotional if things don't go her way.

While she has a reputation of being a sassy brat, deep down she's protective, caring and will stand by those select few. She feels like the people that she associates with represent her, and even if she knows that they're amazing people, they have to look and act the part. That definitely allows her to look superficial, and it is superficial, but that doesn't take away from the genuineness of the friendship. Ula is loyal to her friends and will protect them with every ounce of energy she has. Growing up with a famous father, she knows that it's hard to find true, genuine friends who can be trusted with everything, so she's rather cautious and closed off when making new friends. She's never had any siblings grownig up, so her close friends are the closest things to sisters and brothers that she has ever had, and treats them like family.
