Emma paced down the Trophy Room fingering the artifacts that were most likely bewitched. Her fingers touched the glass as she looked at the brown china cabinet full of the various trophies, her eye caught several gleaming trophies. All were gold, silver, bronze, and surprisingly a sparkling black trophy with its description missing.
She looked on the counters to her left and right, though none of those museum description plates. Looking at the purple banner hanging, she wondered what it actually resembled. No house had that deep purple color unless there was some secret house she had never heard of.
She returned her gaze to the black trophy that had been enclosed in the glass. This time, it wasn't the same trophy she had witnessed just seconds ago. Her eyes had to be playing tricks on her. She grabbed her pearl bracelet and began to fidget with it, the metallic beads clicking against each other. The trophy was now a thick-rimmed bracelet with closed sockets. The sockets were shaped like hexagons, inside where black diamonds, unlike anything she had seen before.
It made no sense, she had closely recognized that bracelet. It was a family tradition, well, for the females passed down from for grandmother. She usually hid the bracelet in her trunk, though something was different about this one. They were black, instead of blue. The bracelet had been magically enchanted to change color, representing their house. It should have been blue diamonds, not black. She had never even heard of a jewel with such an ominous color, much less seen one.
Her eyes stood glued onto the object before she looked down at the armor-filled hallway. She looked across the room to ensure that she was alone, indeed she was. Turning back to the mysterious, unidentified shapeshifting object, she put her hand up to the glass, hoping that the glass had been nonexistent. She had been a fool to think she could pass the glass, effortless.
The more she imagined her very own bracelet, the more it turned blue. The bracelet was now exactly like the one she had in her trunk, what if that was her bracelet? She certainly wasn't going to sprint up into her dormitory to go and find out.

Lorelei Sighed as she entered the trophy room. The rows of gold and silver mesmerizing to the eye. On each one there was a A shine from the sunlight that entered the room. They danced across the gold and silver like a ballet, each one mesmerizing the small female. Her eyes wandering to the Slytherin trophies that lined the wall. The countless first place Quidditch trophies Catching her eyes.
she wandered the endless maze another girl catching her eye. she was small with curly light brown hair. Severely contrasting her own fiery red. She seemed to be standing under a black banner not from any house she had come to know. She was staring at something in the cabinet below it. She furrowed her eyebrows curiously inching closer. For a split second it seemed to be a bracelet, however she blinked her eyes and instead was now a music box. One of which she knew to belong to her sister. it was hand crafted with elegant vines carved from the base, moving and writhing around almost alive. It belonged to a wizard in her family long forgotten by the decades and generations of muggles. It used to sit alone in the attic before her sister had found it. She remembered it to be a dark entrancing brown with the music changing to whatever song you thought of. However this one was pitch black. She blinked and stepped away. " What is this" she murmured looking at her feet. She knew that music box from anywhere but how could it have gotten here. As far as she knew her sister still had possession of it. The black color mocking her from inside the cabinet. She sneered her curiosity flaring up. she desperately wanted to know what it was but would she dare touch such a thing?

Emma jumped when the girl had spoken, she had not seen her come into the room, much less hear her. Her focus had been mainly on the imposter item that belonged to her family. It hadn't belonged there, but somehow she wanted to break the glass and free it from its cell. She knew she wouldn't have been able to, knowing Hogwarts. The knew the school had all sorts of mysterious defenses, unlike anything she had ever seen before.
The gleam of the trophies sparkled on her robes as she reached out to touch the dusty glass. If it wasn't extremely dirty she would've touched it. She looked once more at the various trophies that sparkled silver and gold.
The brunette turned quickly to face the girl, she was a Slytherin was fiery red hair. She wondered if it was natural or not. "I thought it was mine, but it's almost like an exact replica. I have one specifically like this in my trunk." She pictured her very own bracelet lying down at the top of her trunk. As she said these words she seemed to encourage herself more to run up to her dormitory or either break the magical glass. "This is bizarre..."

Lorelei went to grab her hand as a warning for her not to touch it. However before she had the chance the other female immediately retracted it and turned to her. " you have my families m-" she paused and blinked rapidly as she attempted to remember the flash of another object. " what was it" she murmured in a whisper almost inaudible to the human ear. She gulped and looked at the other girl. " It. It was a bracelet right" She clarified. " What do you see" she asked glancing at the music box. The familiarity taunting her and twisting ideas of opening it. She felt like Pandora and whatever was in that box, or whatever that... Thing was it wasn't good. " I see my sisters, music box. It uh. it was something my parents had hidden away in our attic. The box was brown with vines that actually moved carved into the side. whatever song you thought of, all you had to do was wind it up and open it... then it would play that song" she replied. " But this one is black" she shivered. " don't touch it... whatever it is it can't be good" she told her simply as a warning

Emma seemed taken aback as the Slytherin reached out to grab her hand, this was another reason she stopped. It seemed like she had something to say, but she quickly stopped herself as if trying to remember if she had lost something near and dear to her. She looked down at the podium it stood on, still no description of the mind tricking object.
"What do you see?" The girl remarked whilst staring downward at the case as if it were some bottle of lethal poison.
Emma looked down the duplicate of her bracelet. "Well, I see a thick-rimmed bracelet, the outside is encrusted in diamonds... some are faux-" She had always used the fake one as a key to her home, there consisted of six fraudulent jewels. "- In the center are seven jewels, I think..." She usually only wore that bracelet for formal events, so her memory was quite limited.
Every woman in her family had a now-going tradition, the gemstones changed the color to the occupier's house, so far, it had stayed a royal blue. At the mentioned of a black tint, she took a step back, if her object was black, was it possible hers would be too? She refreshed her memory back to minutes ago, the stones had been a raven black color. "Mine was also black, before, not now though. Do you think it is okay to touch it?"

Lorelei looked at it again. They were seeing two completely different things... but how? Heirlooms is what this thing copied. yet it remained black. The gears in her head turned and turned. What could it be? Was it dangerous? What was it capable of? all these questions running around in her head. " Think it is ok to touch it?" was the thing she heard from the female and she shook her head. " It's not a good idea. We don't know what it is, or what else it can do" She told the female. " For all we know touching it could trigger a curse or worse. besides do you even know the meaning of the black flag?" she asked raising an eyebrow. " we should tell the headmaster. see if someone else knows about it. I don't know about you but its taunting me. challenging me that I'm a coward if I don't" she told her. "now tell me that doesn't sound like something bad" She asked the female with a raised eyebrow. " either way I wouldn't trust it..." she replied crossing her arms skeptically. " Anyways Whatever that black banner represents it is obviously not a house banner. but what I can't figure out is what that thing is even doing her in the first place" she sighed

Emma couldn't exactly touch the item, it had been cased in the glass. A part of her wanted to wipe the grime off the glass, but she didn't want to get her hands dirty. She didn't want to tarnish her robes either. She had mentioned something about a black flag, that also didn't ring a bell. She spent a little while thinking about it, and she finally came up with an answer.
"Does it have to do with pirates? Every movie I've seen involving pirates have a black flag, but it does have a skull," Emma said, though her foveal vision remained on the glass. The object had her full attention. Was it a bracelet or a music box, she had certainly only seen a bracelet and it was tormenting her mind. She was desperate to find out.
At the mentioning of getting the headmaster involved she shook her head. "Telling the headmaster is never a good idea, we should wait. Besides, no one comes in here frequently, who would even know about it?" The brunette was extremely good at keeping secrets, but they'd be better off telling one person than the whole school.
She took a glimpse down the knight-filled hallway, thankfully no one was coming. For once, she faced the girl, "We can't tell anyone, nobody... or figure. Do you know how many rumors will spread across the school from eavesdroppers and false stories?"
