Ying slowly and lazily opened her eyes looking at the bright vaulted ceiling. She was feeling numb and somehow feeling that she had been sleeping for longer then she should. Around her the room was the personification of silence, like she had woke up in an alternative dimension, that place was really the opposite of all other places inside that castle. There was no laughs, no background intense noise...nothing, beside the sound of someone scratching their parchment with their quill in a slow but determined rhythm.

Feeling her strength returning to her slender body, the little lioness silently got up and sat on the bed, propping herself up against the soft pillow at her back. She made her movements carefully, for the last time she'd been conscious, her body ached with a sharp pain in her side ribs. But now she was relieved to realize the pain was no longer there and she was feeling quite well taking into account the fact that she had been hit by a flying iron ball that made her fall off her broom. Was a great experience that game, she felt it with irony.

Looking around, Ying noticed that the majority of beds were empty apart from one or two, but those had their privacy curtains closed, so she wasn't able to see who was laying on them. Feeling a little alone and unsure what to do, Ying embraced the white linen sheets in search for some comfort. What should she do now? Call for someone? Let them know she was awake? She suddenly felt a tendril of sadness seeing she was there and non of her friends, teammates or even her brother went to see if she was okay. Perhaps she had not been there for that long? She looked at the large windows and noticed that the sun light had been replaced for a darkest orange, blueish color of dusk. Maybe just for a couple of hours then...

She was stirring with her memories from the game, everything that happened so quickly as soon as she put her foot on the field. She knew the magical sports were dangerous, she have witnessed enough to know that. Only her determination, her ambitions and her taste for challenges made her continue to be enthusiastic and want to continue to be part of it. There were just a few things that made her feel as happy and alive as flying on top of her broom! So if anyone asked her if it was worthy or if she was scared to continue to play those crazy games, she would definitely answer, "Hell yeah!" tho, she wished she could have another chance to prove herself to those Mahoutokoro kids, that would haunt her until her next chance.

Was it here? Was it there? Raizel had been everywhere but her destination, the hospital wing. With all the times that she had visited that certain place due to her habits of getting into fights, troubles and heck, dueling anyone despite them being years older, one would think she would know its location by now but no, not really. The castle's layout is still too much for the Gryffindor who doesn't seem to have a good sense of direction when it comes to Hogwarts or perhaps it was because she was rushing.

Apparently, there was a Quidditch Practice Match earlier and it was the same one that her friend, Fang Hui-Ying, had been asked to participate in. Oh how fun it would've been to watch that match. Sadly she didn't get to watch it. Wanting to ask about it, she had decided to give Ying a visit to her cabin but she wasn't there just yet. She had been hit by a bludger and, while Raizel is concerned about her friend's well-being, she is curious on how that one felt. Probably not the best thing to ask but oh well. Now then, back to the task at hand.

Where was the hospital wing again?

It took her a couple of minutes before she finally arrived at her destination, gently opening the Hospital Wing door to take a look inside. There weren't many people but she's sure the staff had just finished treating people. A bit of scan in the room and finally, a familiar figure can be seen on one of the beds, sleeping maybe? Did she come at the wrong time? She shrugged it off and entered, walking towards the bed where her friend is on.

"Heyyo!" She greeted with a grin on her face, trying to be cheerful in hopes it could lift her friend's mood but also keeping her voice a bit down as she doesn't want getting kicked out of the hospital wing. "How'd it felt being hit with a bludger?" She asked but she was only teasing, making her chuckle. "Just kidding but seriously, how are ya?" Magical Medicine and Healing, she knows those works wonders. One minute you're hurting and the next everything is already fine. Magic sure is brilliant.

A matching grin came to the young girl’s lips when she saw her friend walking through the hospital wing’s door. After all someone has came to visit her, she has a true friend inside those walls and that realisation made her heart fill with gratitude and happiness.

“Rai!!” She said in a loud whisper, the loudest sound she dared to make in that sound absent room. “You came to see me!” She stated feeling her eyes getting slightly warm with tears of joy. Wow, that episode just got her emotional! “Well, is no fun let me tell ya!” She answered with a small chuckle to her friend’s question about her experience of being hit with a treacherous bludger. She was already feeling much better. “I’ve been better I guess?” She said pondering if that was really the truth.

“Those guys came out of no where, seriously!” She started, feeling that there was something in her chest that was desperately asking to come out, “Do you believe this Rai?” She continued, “They all came after me! Like I was the bloody snitch! And then that bludger hit me with so much strength! And that guy…Rit…Risomething as if it was not enough, just came after us trying to make me fall again!” She complained to her friend, her last words coming to loud and she covered her mouth with her hand in an instinct remembering where she was. Then sighed feeling relieved after renting all of that, “Just wished I could retrieve this somehow…I guess I’m a bad loser Rai!” She admitted with a half sad smile followed with pout in her rosy lips.

Lively as ever. It was like the girl wasn’t even hit by a flying iron ball. Raizel snickered at seeing her friend already looking so well just based on her greetings to her. Not to mention, she’s looking rather cheerful now. Who knew her presence could help wash away the gloomy atmosphere that was once looming on her friend when she just arrived earlier. “Glad to know that you’re doing better and do tell me more.” Raizel grabbed a nearby stool to sit on, eager to hear more about what happened in that practice match.

As far as she knows, sports can be violent, especially magical sports. It’s like a battlefield and most players are out for blood. Quidditch isn’t an exemption and Ying just got a taste of it. She laughed after hearing how they honed in on her. “Guess they wanted to knock you out of the game immediately if they all went for you. What did you play as again?” she asked. As interesting and thrilling that experience might be, she will admit, a full team going for you all at once sounds scary and they even succeeded too. Must’ve been quite an experience.

About losing though, Raizel understands if Ying is a bit upset about that. She’s the same as her after all. As much as she tries not to let her losses get to her, Raizel still hates it but tries to look on the brighter side. “Come on now, there’s always next time. Maybe they’d want another practice match or so.” Well, the girl is part of the Broom Racing team, not Quidditch so the only way she could get back on them is by having another round of Quidditch or… “Or you could ask them for a race.” She grinned. Who knows, maybe she’d like to settle the score someday.

“Well that they wanted me dead was quite perceptible!” She replied with sarcasm to her friend, “I was playing as a seeker! Not even had time to search for the snitch, so only thing I can tell you is…it’s not that awesome!” Ying replied thinking about that moment when she felt her broom slipping from her grip, was like she could feel that pressure in her stomach again when she was falling to the ground. "To be fair, not even had time to figure out how it is to be a seeker." She said looking at her feet while she was playing with her toes under the white pristine sheets. Her thoughts going around in circles reviving that moment over and over again.

There is always a lesson to be learned tho, next time she would fly a broom she would be more experient, she would know how it feels like and be better prepared for future challenges. Being a broom racing captain who had never faced a serious match used to be embarrassing for the young woman. Now, now she knew what to expect, how dangerous it was and how was the flavor of being face to face with it. Now she was a better member to her team, even if it hasn't been a broom racing but a quidditch game. "That would be awesome Rai!" She said to her friend, her face washed out of concentrated thoughts and now presenting a beautiful and much more enthusiastic smile, "They would have a bitter taste of what I really can do!" She stated confidently with that all too characteristic mischievous glint in her intelligent dark brown eyes and a cheeky smile torn on her lips.

That remark about the opposing team wanting Ying dead had made Raizel chuckle in amusement. She knows it was an exaggeration on the other Gryffindor's part. I mean, there is no way that the opposing team wanted Ying to be dead but if you find yourself being the target of more people who are all out for your blood, then maybe. "I can imagine." She said with a grin plastered on her face, finding what happened kind of interesting even though her friend here just got into a dangerous situation. Yes, that was scary and concerning but also, interesting to happen.

While Raizel isn't exactly a Quidditch enthusiast, her father is and she had heard stories of how it usually goes. Fouls and knocking each other off of a broom are usually a part of it and Ying here just got a taste of it. "Ooooh, Seeker." Even more understandable now considering the role she was playing as. A Seeker's role is important in the game after all. Knock them out then the game is good as theirs unless the opposing Seeker is down as well. "You guys should've knocked out their Seeker as well." Raizel is now regretting not going to see that match. She wanted to see how it went personally. "Well anyway, you might get another chance to try becoming a Seeker again. Was the other team good?" She asked curiously. "They were from a different school, correct? Same as your team?"

Raizel smiled then when the other Gryffindor considered her suggestion for broom racing, going against those that she had lost too. "Yeah, show them what you got as a broom racing captain." The girl gave her a fistpump.

"Nooo.. you can't imagine it Rai.." Ying replied with a dramatic tone of voice, "It's really scary! Falling down with nowhere to hold...and you just prepare yourself for the impact you know..." she continued, her eyes flicking over to her friend, showing that, despite her overreaction, it really was a frightening moment that she wouldn't soon forget. "I guess I was lucky..." Ying sighed, "That girl flew fast to catch me, otherwise you wouldn't be seeing me at the hospital wing..." indeed, it would have been even more painful...but she was clearly enjoying the attention and her friend's support...no harm in exaggerating things right?

"Oh we did Rai! She fell from her broom too! Well deserved if I can say!" and actually it had felt good to see the other seeker also falling, at least she hadn't been the only one...although she had been able to catch the snitch. That moment was still very fuzzy in Ying's memory, the other kid throwing her and her savior into the sky was quite a sensation after a bludger and a fall from her broom, those moments were almost like a blur, like a vision happening in front of her, but she hasn't been able to concentrate and catch the naughty golden ball.

"Well anyway, you might get another chance to try becoming a Seeker again. Was the other team good?" Ying heard her friend asking. That made her slowly turn and head towards her friend and blink with an almost offended expression. Was her friend waiting for her to complement the other team? After her "almost death"? "G...good?" She said with some difficulty, her pride was more wounded then her small body she realized. "They were...okay I guess..." more then okay actually...but she would not admit it while sitting in that bed at the hospital wing. Ying diverted her gaze towards her feet again, not wanting her friend to read through her eyes, that she was actually embarrassed for not being able to complement her adversaries.

"Yeah...we were students from different schools" She explained, "They were from Mahoutokoro! Mostly..." She told Rai, "Even that could have been different, it was obvious they were used to play together! While we looked like a patchwork team! Not fair in my opinion let me tell you!" Now she started to feel and act grumpy again. Like a little girl making a tantrum not wanting to admit her own mistakes.

Her friend was smiling to her, and Ying felt her cheeks becoming red and warmer. A shy smile started to draw in her ivory face tho, when she heard her friend's words of encouragement and support. The bitter feelings slowly dissipated from her chest, Ying laughed amused responding to Rai's fistpump with her own, "You bloody right I will!" She replied grinning and feeling much better with excitement, "Thanks Rai, you're the best!"

Lucky…

Perhaps it was luck that had made it possible for Ying to still be here in this hospital bed and not somewhere else. She doesn’t need to hear it directly from her friend. Despite how she is acting, she knows that it was a frightening experience. Even though you know that you’re safe, that someone will catch you, slow down your fall or even cushion it, falling from a high place is still scary. Isn’t that why she is here right now? To try and help make her friend feel better and even just, listen to her if it’ll help. “Whoever caught you, I’m grateful for them. Can’t imagine losing my best bud now.” Raizel said with a small smile on her face. “And perhaps someone was already prepared to catch you too just in case.” She continued.

Oh? So they managed to get back to the opposing team? Hearing that made Raizel grin. “That’s brilliant!” She was glad that they at least got back to the opposing team although she was curious about their skills, even Ying’s team too. She’s no Quidditch fan but hey, it's still fun to see what abilities other people have. “Oh.” that was her first reaction after hearing that the opposing team was mostly from the same school. Yeah, they would have more teamwork compared to a team that, maybe, was made on spot to fill in missing members. “That’s a bummer.”

Raizel then let out a soft laughter as she saw Ying’s expression lightening up with all the encouragement that she’s been telling. It was nice to see that it was working. “Glad to be here.” The girl grinned before looking around. “So, when will you be out of the Hospital Wing?” she asked.
