Terrence Howlite was born in New York in the north east area of the Bronx, more particularly Williamsbridge. His family which consisted of his mother Patricia Moon, and his father Horace Howlite, was a normal loving family. His mother was a no maj/Muggle and his father was from a long, though not pure lineage of witches and wizards. Both of Terrence's parents were from Jamaican Heritage. His parents' grand parents were immigrants in America, and they grew up as friends although Patricia's family often associated Horace's with the likes of witch doctors.

Which was ironic since his family had been from a long line of doctors and healers from his muggle and wizarding ancestry. The two friends grew up to love one another deeply. As a doctor Horace made a decent living blending in with muggle society. Living a double life in the wizarding and muggle society. Often putting a large drain on him to keep up his facade. Horace was born in 1972, which was only seven years after the repeal of the rappaport's law in America. And even afterwards there were still prejudices present. His upbringing as a half blood made him handle life differently. Associated with both world's since a child, Horace built a life in both. While juggling his relationship with Terrence's Mother and keeping his wizarding side secret from her. He and Patricia eventually moved from Williamsbridge, and settled in to a home as a wedding gift in Manhattan. This would also change Patricia's last name from Moon to Howlite. Which may have never been possible had they been born a decade earlier. Horace was a proud graduate of the Ilvermorny school of witchcraft and wizardry. While Patricia was still unaware of the magical side of his life. She graduated from a muggle school and pursued her own career in law enforcement, becoming a detective after years in the field.

Patricia was born in 1974, making her two years younger than Horace. She had a normal upbringing. going to school and then college for forensics. She was a outgoing and well accepted person amongst her peers. she and Horace would graduate from the same college. He was the love of her life and childhood friend. She'd go on to become a detective, which she'd find very stressful. And ultimately discover she was not as good at it as she'd hoped to be. She had big dreams when she was younger of being a renown detective to take down the big fish, however the real world woke her up pretty quickly. Life as a muggle cop was hard. And for some reason or another she found it interesting and it made her dig deep. As always she found a way to over come her obstacles one at a time after years on the force. It was probably were Terrence got his determination from. Her mom Cecilia Moon had died before Terrence was born so he never met her. However, Her father Wouldn't die until a year before their move from the big apple to the UK. Gerald McGhee, a strange and stylish man. He was materialistic and a ball of fun to be around.

Grandpa Gerald was Terrence's best friend. He stayed up the street a few blocks down back in Williamsbridge from where they used to live. Though he never met his father's parents it didn't matter to Terrence. Grandpa Gerald was enough. He taught him a lot about life. and he was an essentric person. Which always gave Terrence a good laugh growing up. Back in those times Terrence was out going and quick to make new friends. His grand father's materialistic tendencies also rubbed off on him. The man could sell almost anything he got his hands on that he didn't need himself. In Muggle school Terrence usually sold sweets to cover his lunch and supply him with personal earned funds. His grandpa always said a man provides and earns his keep. Terrence probably spent more time with the old man than his own mom and dad. Horace was always working, or on call. And Patricia was always working a case. They were hardly ever home.

When Terrence was seven his grandfather gave him a pair of shades. These would turn out to be authentic Gucci shades, the ones he wore a lot. However, he had been down in health around that time and he proclaimed he was passing on the torch. Terrence would take care of the man for Almost another year. He had progressed to the point he had to be hospitalized. It hit Terrence pretty hard when he passed. He lost his best friend, and the person whom had truly raised him. The shades would become something more than a gift. They were his prized possession, a cherished memory of the man that once wore them. From there Terrence was often left in after school care where he began making friends outside of school. Most of them were trouble makers a far cry from the crowd he was used too. With his hustling he often made a small sum each day. he always found somethin, from food to clothing, and many more. New York was a bustling city an there was always a way to make an honest buck. However this often drew in the wrong crowds too. Time after time he began getting in trouble from fighting. He always had someone trying to steal from him, and it was usually those closest around him. This began his reclusive streak, as he began turning down the crowd and being more secretive about his movements.

Still his grades dropped, he showed signs of depression, and he was fighting a lot. To his family this was signs of depression likely created by Grandpa Gerald's departure. Horace had eventually been offered a job abroad in the UK When Terrence was nine. Though he passed it off to his wife as being offered a better paying muggle job by securing a position abroad, He'd finally mastered his craft and became a Master Healer. Terrence's family had a meeting that decided if they'd accept the transfer. It would be a month long debate, but in the end Horace, Patricia, and young Terrence moved to Wickford, thirty miles east of London in the Borough of Basildon. Life in the UK was new for him, Terrence's life had went through a dramatic change and he'd left everything he knew in America.

Becoming an exchange student in a muggle school within the UK, Terrence would make a new friend after four months, reluctantly giving in to a consistent an rather funny individual. The friendship like many of his past friendships wouldn't last a year. Jeffery Goldstein was the class clown at the time. Winning Terrence's friendship by often taking up for him, and showing him the ropes in Wickford. The culture was different from what he was used too so he had a harder time fitting in. On the anniversary of his grandfather's death he'd wore his shades to school. It had been the first time he'd wore them since he passed. It was a hot summer in 2021. So he and his friend went swimming at the school pool. He had his shades on his towel near his clothes. He'd watched when anyone got close with the exception of Jeffery. So when he got out of the pool to dry off and saw they were missing he immediately went over everyone that got close retracing his recollection of whom the culprit was.

He was angry an emotionally hurt that someone would take his prized shades, an even more frustrated with himself that he hadn't secured them in his locker before goin for a swim. With his adrenaline rushing and his heart pounding he would notice one of the temples of his shades clamped at the waist of his friend's pants. This would cause a serious argument to break out that would have gotten physical had no one stepped in to hold the two back from one another. Teacher's began pouring in to the area one after the other, but it was too late. Terrence had been so riled up that he had tapped in to his magic that he himself wasn't even aware of. Ant the glass throughout the entire building would bust inward violently. It caused such a shock that many people began screaming and trying to find cover as the shards floated slowly within the building. The individual he once considered a friend was the only person injured. the glass from his shades had shattered an cut his abdomen, though not lethal it caused him a bit of pain.

During the panic, Terrence removed his shades from Jefferey while he was injured swearing at him with idle threats, that didn't feel so idle at the time. Afterwards the glass would all fall to the ground. With the instance being so large most people were unaware of the point of origin. still it had to be dealt with by the ministry of magic. After that event things changed around his house hold. Terrence and his mother would find that his father had been keeping a large secret. Horace had disclosed that He was from a lineage of witches and wizards, and would begin to share with them the knowledge of the wizarding world. not for use, but to enlighten them. He now knew it was time for his son to be exposed to magic. and it was a limited amount of time before he'd be expected to attend Hogwarts.

Over the next two years he'd listen to his father's tales and knowledge. He tried to learn as much as he could as he'd began to be introduced to a new world. This new world fascinated him. It was new and to his knowledge better than being an ordinary human. His father also took the time to explain that he had let him live his life as a muggle to show that muggles were not inferior to Witches and wizards. And explained the prejudices that he may have to face in the wizarding world for being a half blood. Horace would be there to walk him through the steps of attending Hogwarts after receiving an owl. He and his mother would send Terrence off to his first year in the magical school.
