♪ Soundtrack: They Don't Know About Us
After their meeting in the Boathouse where they had confessed their feelings for each other, they were no longer just best friends. When they went back to the school to have breakfast, they were going back as boyfriend and girlfriend. But despite agreeing on being open with their relationship (the school would find out anyway) they acted almost normally when they walked through the corridor. Perhaps out of old habit.
They took a seat in the Great Hall at the far edge of the Hufflepuff table. It would perhaps have been easy to mistake them for being just friends, but the looks they gave each other over the table said otherwise. Simon knew that he was madly in love with her, especially after the kiss yesterday, and even more so after he confessed his feelings for her and learned that she felt the same way about him.
When they finished their breakfast, Simon decided it was time to break the news. Rumors spread like fire at Hogwarts so there was no reason for them to try to hide their feelings or their relationship and keep people wondering and whispering behind their backs.
"So... Are we ready to drop the bomb?" he asked with a smile, lifted his legs over the bench and held out his hand for her. Let's give them something to talk about, he thought.
She grabbed his hand and they walked around the table to the middle of the room. From there, they steered towards the doors with intertwined fingers. Simon noticed how more and more heads turned towards them – classmates and housemates – but he did not mind. He just looked at Madi with a content look in his eyes, feeling proud and excited about everything that the future held for them. Halfway through the Great Hall, they seemed to be thinking the same thing, so he leaned towards her and they kissed. In front of everyone. The news were out there; Simon Tilia in Ravenclaw and Madison Bennett in Hufflepuff were now a couple.

Saturday Morning September 16th 2023 Interacting with @Simon Tilia Soundtrack: Cut to the Feeling
Madi felt different walking down the halls of Hogwarts with Simon this time, but in a very good way. They were more than best friends now, even though her and Simon had been close as best friends, she hoped that now, they'd be even closer. She had just shared a moment with Simon in the Boathouse and they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend, to their knowledge anyway, for now.
As soon as Madi was seated down at the far end of the Hufflepuff table, she was delighted to see that there were still Cinnamon and Vanilla buns, so she grabbed a few, along with some fruit and happily ate away. She would occasionally blush when she looked at Simon and she giggled when he wiped the icing off her nose from the bun she was eating. Madi knew for sure that she was in love with Simon, there was no denying the connection that they had was now deeper than ever after confessing their feelings for each other.
Once Madi and Simon had finished eating, she took his hand and nodded "Let's do this" Madi said with a giggle. She knew this bomb would explode and rock the school but she didn't care, it would get out sooner or later anyway. This is going to knock everyone's socks off Madi thought to herself and giggled at the thought.
As she and Simon walked to the middle of the room, she felt hundreds of eyes staring at her, but she just focused on Simon, no one else in the room mattered to her right now. She felt proud to be holding hands with Simon in front of everyone, and even though she got a few looks from other girls, she just stood closer to Simon and kept hold of his hand. Madi knew that she was grinning from ear to ear but she couldn't help it, she was on cloud 9 with Simon and never wanted to come down. Even if her brother James saw she didn't care, though he was most likely in the library studying or reading so they were safe.
Simon soon stopped halfway down the Great Hall, leaned towards her and soon their lips were touching once again, though this time, it was in front of all their classmates, housemates and even some of the teachers. Once the kiss ended, Madi looked up at Simon and smiled, the bomb had been dropped and soon even more fireworks would explode but Madi was happy, the news was finally out there that she and Simon were a couple.
