Here's One for the History Books PV Cassie Closed

Libraries. They were tranquil places of knowledge vast and stories unspoken. The Hogwarts library was, perhaps, one of the most important (if not the most important) locations in the school. There were ghosts there- both of a literal and figurative sense- that were secured between the shelves; histories and tales, tucked neatly between cream pages and dust. The retreat had been a consistent savior to any student in need of answers, quiet, or even a means of light entertainment. Steadfast and reliable, the library had become a character in and of itself throughout the years, readily lending an ancient hand to those in need of one.

While most of the time Xailah generally came to the reading space with no concrete trajectory, today was a bit different. She was less looking to be surprised with new reading material, and more looking for a vague starting point to help lead her through a more complicated matter, that likely extended beyond the aid of books. But, she had yet to find out. The library was always a good starting point for such.

The metamorph made her way to an aisle containing dark arts material and magical histories. There were a few students scattered about the library, and Xailah would make note of a young girl occupying the same row of shelves she intended to go down. Skimming the shelves, the Gryffindor would find herself standing near the child, her attention turned upwards at a high shelf. "Oh, excuse me." She whispered under her breath, sliding past the girl. Having spied what she was looking for, she reached above to select a rather large tome that looked as if it had gone relatively untouched for a long time. "Watch your head." The book was coaxed down, it's weight imminent once it no longer had the support of a shelf. One corner of the tome would almost graze the top of the child's head that she had reached over. "My apologies if I nicked you. I'll just be on my way now."
