Madison couldn't wait to get to Diagon Alley. Her dad Atticus was taking her to the Magical Menagerie to get her own pet!!

As Madi walked in to the shop with her dad, she saw cages and terrariums all along the walls, paired with a chorus of squeaks and screeches as she walked around the shop and up to the desk with her dad. She smiled at the shop keeper Ernest, a man with a round belly, who smiled back at Madi.

"Hello young lady, what can I do for you?" he asks in a gentle manner.

Madi smiles back and replies "I'm looking to get a kitten sir, will you help me please?" she asks and the shopkeeper nods. Madi's father explains to her that she can pick any pet she wants, afterall, this was her 13th birthday present from her parents.
Madi walked past the many enclosures but she knew which ones she didn't want, and so she walked past the Pigmy puffs, Spiders, lizards , ferrets, rats and owls. She'd thought about getting an owl but her brother has one called Aristotle and he brings her mail too anyway. She could bring a bunny to school, no matter how much she wanted to and that just left the cats.

Cats were adorable, soft and very cute, plus they were pretty easy to care for and hopefully Madi could find one that loved to cuddle.

Madison was looking at one of the cages full of little grey kittens when she saw a Classic Brown Tabby kitten amongst the grey ones. It came to the front of the cage and purred as it rubbed it's head on Madi's hand.

She asked Ernest if she could look at the brown kitten. He nodded and got it out, handing it to Madi. She smiled and held the tiny kitten in her hands, as it sat there and looked at her with blue eyes, almost as big as her own, Madi knew right then and there that this was the kitten for her.

Madi's dad Atticus came over and smiled at Madi "well sweetheart, it looks like you've made a new friend, is this the kitten you'd like?" he asks her and Madi nods "yes please dad, look how cute she is" Madi says, as the kitten curls up and falls asleep in her hands.

Her dad chuckles and nods "Ok angel, let's go up to the front and pay for her then" he says with a smile. After they paid for the kitten, Madi put her in a little cage that had a soft blanket inside of it, courtesy of the shopkeepers. She smiled and was so excited to introduce her to everyone, especially her best friend Simon.
