Thea was running around the house, looking for a nice dress to wear. She was barefoot, like most of the time, but this time she was looking for shoes for a change.

- Katniss ! Have you seen my yellow moccasins ? Cassie won't be long !

Her sister rolled her eyes and continued writing on her paper.

The very young witch was working on an assignment given to her by her teacher. It had to be done, of course, otherwise it was no fun. She pushed back her tangled hair like never before. The younger girl might have used a Narcissus comb, but she couldn't even get an ounce of her hair through.

She didn't apply herself. Watching her sister go round the house was much more fun. And to think that soon she would be able to leave the manor to learn real magic, not paper magic. She turned to Thea mockingly :

- Perhaps you should look in your wardrobe ?

But her older sister had already left, and a few minutes later, the very young witch heard the creaking of the gate. She grumbled. Her sister must have brought another of her impure bloods with her.

She knew that Thea was doing this for her reputation, that in reality she was shattering her ego every time she shook their hands. Katniss, on the other hand, knew that she would never be the same once she arrived at Magic School. She didn't care about her reputation, and would even take great pleasure in destroying her sister's reputation.

Meanwhile, Thea had returned with her "friend". Katniss stood up - she didn't mind the homework, she was more amused to see her sister hanging around with a low-class girl.

Her elder sister entered the living room. Seeing her sister, she came towards her, her teeth clenched as she said :

- Doe niets doms, breng me niet in verlegenheid.¹

And the young witch nodded, a smirk cutting across her ugly face. Next to each other, no one would have believed that Thea and Katniss were sisters.
