Roksana had sometimes, but not always, wonder about the rest of her family. The Volkov family was a long line of purebloods, she knew, but there were also half-bloods and wizardborns in the family, too. Roksana knew what her grandparents would have to say about that: "Non-purebloods and muggles and mudbloods muddying up the pure family line", that's what they'd say.

It was a good thing that Roksana had never told them about her best friend at Koldovstoretz, Angelique "An", because the messy aftermath would be horrible, she just knew it. However, Roksana hadn't met many "non-purebloods", and she really wanted to get out of her shell and meet more people who were not stuck-up and conventional purebloods(even though not all purebloods that Roksana knew were like this, including her).

For whatever reason, usually because somebody had made the poor choice of bringing it up first, Roksana was always thinking about blood status. She hated it, of course, but there wasn't much she could do right then about it. Plus, Roksana was a bit of a deep thinker, so she had to be thinking about some important issue or another.

Just as Roksana was contemplating this, she didn't see that she was about to bump into another student until- OOF! She did. She had bumped into somebody in the hallway. Gosh, she was getting too old to be colliding with random people in hallways, it was annoying and cliched. Not that this wasn't the first time that happened, because it was the first time. Roksana rubbed her head. She had bumped into a tall blonde girl.

Roksana sighed. "Gosh, I'm sorry about that. I should've looked where I was going..." But to be honest, you should've too, Roksana thought privately.
