Aries walked into the store labeled "Madam Malkin" and the doorbell jingled. Like literally jingled. Some girls in the shop looked at her and she smiled back at them. Everyone there was either trying outfits or holding them close and asking how it looked. Aries was very excited but she couldn't show it no matter how hard she tried. It might've been the stress from her mother Saturn, who was waiting outside, or that dark secret she was holding in. She held her supply list close to her as she walked quietly inside. Aries wasn't much of the shy and introverted type but now she sure was feeling it. Aries spotted a girl with her guardian next to her. Aries couldn't understand what she was saying to the adult because it was so far away. She stepped closer and started reading her list out softly so it was more like a murmur. "Three plain black work robes". Aries could see the robes in the back that seemed like they would fit her. She got her robes and finished buying the rest on her list. "Hello Miss, could I buy these?" she asked the lady at the counter, and handed her the galleons, sickles and knuts. Aries got her outfits and was about to walk away outside to her mother when she realized someone was tapping her shoulder. "Yes?" she said. It was that girl she saw apparently name Cecilia. Aries smiled to herself and thought, "have I yet to make a new friend?".

"So this is the Diagon Alley, Jen?" Cecilia's dad, Joshua Kelly asked Jenna Kelly, Cecilia's mom.
"Yay. You should be glad to come here." Mrs. Kelly said, smiling, "I really miss those days when I used to shop here with my friends."
Mr. and Mrs. Kelly kept on gossiping about the oldest and weirdest things they could spot in Diagon Alley and once in a while bought things out of the Appendix list.
Cecilia was minding her own business as she knew the routes to each one of the shops as she had visited Diagon Alley earlier with her grandparents. "Dad, I need to buy my clothes now in Madam Malkin."
"Yay, do you need Jen to go inside with you?" Mr. Kelly asked, with eyes certainly saying you should go inside yourself.
Cecilia signed and said, "No, thanks." She walked away after sensing a sign of satisfaction from her dad. Why ask when all you want to hear is what you want, Cecilia thought, gritting her teeth. As she opened the door, a jingle sound echoed through the whole shop, waking her to reality. Now that she thought about it, how do you order the clothes? She wondered hard and thought of asking the students who came in with their gaurdians. But she couldn't act stupid in front of elders for her so called father's prestige. As she was worrying about whether going back and asking her mom about it, she spotted a girl with brown curly hairs buying clothes alone, she seemingly looked older than Cecilia. She doesn't have a gaurdian with her? Cecilia thought, happily. She made her way towards her hurriedly as she saw the girl making her way out. She tapped on the girl's shoulder not knowing what to do in such a hurry, and introduced herself in the most weirdest way possible. What did I just do right now? Cecilia thought, but before she could back up as if nothing happened, the girl replied. Now Cecilia was only left with the option of explaining why she stopped that girl. She abruptly cleared her throat and said, "Sorry I was being awkward right now. Actually I am visiting this shop for the first time, so can you please help me buy my clothes?"
Cecilia was loosing hope as each second passed, she started getting butterflies in her stomach due to nervousness.

The strange girl just asked you a question her brain said to Aries. "Hmm?", "oh, yes i would be delighted!" she seems like a first year Aries thought "well you need almost the same things as me," she directed Cecilia, "the first year robes are back there". "Oh uhh, thank you!". Soon enough both the girls finished their shopping and headed to the counter. Aries saw another girl trying a Slytherin outfit in the store. She was about the same height as Aries, so she didn't know if the girl was a first or second year. It seemed she was a first as she came with a staff member of the ministry. The girl was definitely a muggle born witch. She seemed nervous, but her face was quite hard to read. Even if Aries was an expert as reading emotions. maybe i should wave and say hello, or just go up to her That was Aries' first instinct but Cecilia was calling her. "C'mon, do you wanna go to the next store together?" Anyways she has a guardian her mind said Aries always tended to take the riskier option and right now the riskiest one was to chat with the other girl. This was because her mother was queen-like-ly waiting outside with her freshly painted hands resting on her poofy gown while her mother was glaring at her to come out through the stain-glass windows of Madam Malkin's. "okay fine." Aries replied to Cecilia, instantly wishing she hadn't sounded too rude. "I mean, of course i do, let's go!" The girls headed out and Aries snuck one last glance over her shoulder at the Slytherin first year. Word Count: 278

Topaz was walking with her guardian while she spotted a black pointed hat and a winter cloak at "Madam Malkin" that she needed from her appendix supply list so she asked her mom Evelynn November and then she said yes so Topaz opened the door very gently and heard a light and soft jingle she saw everyone super happy because this store was popular. Right then she headed to the. very back to check and tried them out. Topaz loved that the winter cloak was nice and soft and the pointed hat was velvet. She instantly went to the fitting room and showed her mom. Then she decided to buy them so she headed to the check out and was exited. May I buy these? " she asked the lady at the counter the lady said " of course and chatted with Topaz and Miss Evelynn for a while.
Then Topaz gave the pointed black hat and the winter cloak. The lady gave her a plastic paper bag and carefully put the supplies in the bag and gently handed it to her. Topaz was relieved that she was done because she had been walking and her feet started to hurt badly. She headed out the store right then where she saw 2 girls heading out and thought since Topaz didn't have any friends she thought to herself why not say hello and be friends with them. So Topaz walked to them and tapped on both of their shoulders she actually was not nervous at all because she was always generous and never was shy. They both turned around and Topaz was really excited to meet 2 new friends. Word count: 281

Cecilia was really glad that the girl helped her shop. Now that they have finished shopping, Cecilia hoped that the girl might also accompany her to the other shops as she was annoyed by her parents conversation. Surprisingly, the girl approved, first she seemed to give a stiff answer, which Cecilia thought might be because she was thinking about something else and was about to say, "Oh no it's fine if you don't like it." When suddenly the girl replied positively again but this time in an excited manner.
Cecilia felt as joyful as ever and started making her way out of the shop with the girl to inform her parents about the change of plans which she knew her father would be really happy about. She wasn't sure about her mom as she was type of an overprotective one and if not for Mr. Kelly's temperamental and stubborn atmosphere, Mrs. Kelly wouldn't have given much freedom to Cecilia, even though Mr. Kelly has provided some unnecessary freedoms too which is not liked by any other members of the Kelly family.
"So what's your name?" Cecilia asked to the girl as she just realised that she had been imagining her as that girl on her mind and not by her name. But before she could get a reply someone tapped on her shoulder and she saw from the corner of her eye that someone also tapped on that girl's shoulder too. Cecilia turned around to find another girl with brown hairs but it was silky unlike that girl. "Oh, hey!" Cecilia replied, happy to hopefully find another future friend, who knows.

for the last time! Aries thought This was the second time someone tapped on her shoulder and for a second she considered just never looking back. 2 taps on the shoulder, same time, same shop, same day, same everything! Aries glanced at the girl behind her, and she wasn't even the slightest bit surprised to see the other girl with a guardian. other girl and Cecilia had very similar taste in tapping on shoulders. No offense yo Cecilia though, since other girl was a Slytherin first year as well. What would Aries's mother think if she saw her with two Slytherins? Probably smile at her and then leave her alone to make bonding. Aries knew this for sure cause' Saturn, her mother was a pure blood Slytherin herself. She always aspired her daughter to be one but Aries wasn't. Aries looked back at her sorting ceremony and cringed at the thought.
