The Mahoutokoro school uniform reflected a student's overall grades and performance at school by the color of their robes. As a result, Ginyami was quite proud of his own navy robes as the only color higher-standing than navy was gold. What he wasn't a fan of was how other schools - like Hogwarts, for example - didn't follow the same custom that Mahoutokoro had.

Because Hogwarts placed less of an emphasis on how well their students were doing academically, Ginyami was certain Hogwarts students must have been pretty stupid as a whole in general. He wasn't surprised, though, given that he was certain that Japanese were the best and most intelligent people in the world. So, naturally, Hogwarts wasn't going to even come close to matching up to Mahoutokoro in his mind.

The funny thing was Ginyami had heard of the Hogwarts houses and he had heard that there was a house that was supposed to value intelligence. 'Ravenclaw', he heard it was called. So, when classes let out and he noticed a student dressed in a uniform sporting Ravenclaw colors, he couldn't help but want to test them a bit. Going up to the student, he tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention.

Regarding the girl, she appeared to have traces of Asian features, but didn't seem to be Japanese. Strangely enough, one of her irises was royal blue, but her left one was dark brown. The sight caused Ginyami to smile as he cleared his throat. "Ah, you have heterochromia, I see," he commented, smirking. "And I imagine it is acquired heterochromia. Or am I wrong?"

Mondays always equal hell, especially when it’s months away from the end of the semester. It feels terrible when you woke up on Monday and thought it was still the weekend. It’s like when you are about to release from the tie, but someone suddenly pulls it tight on you again. Tests and grades are driving all students to be overwhelmed, including Sophia. She has not been writing letters to her family since a long time ago.

Another day she has endured, Sophia thought on her way trying to move her fatigued body to the common room after the final class of the day. While she is crossing the full-of-student corridor on the second floor, she felt a slight tap on her shoulder. She turned around ponderously and saw this boy in navy robes. If Sophia thinks she is of average height, then this boy is going to be Mount Everest, at least 9 to 10 cm taller than her.

Is this boy trying to tease her? Commenting on her appearance without saying any greetings and smiling in that strange way? She will categorize this kind of person as impolite. “I don’t get what you mean by acquired. I’m born with heterochromia and it’s something to do with heredity. My mom has blue eyes, and my dad has brown.” Observing his Asian, or pretty obviously, Japanese-looking face and the unique robe, Sophia determined that he was from another school. “You must be from another school, but which precisely? Apologize because I’m not very familiar with their names.” She stands there facing the boy trying to think how to end this ridiculous conversation. “Oh, by the way, what are you reaching out to me for?” Sophia tried her best to sound nice, but she is really in a fret wanting to go back to the common room, also annoyed with this boy’s inappropriate words which delays her homework time.

"My my, you have heterochromia and you don't even know what kinds there are?" he asked, chuckling softly. "Acquired heterochromia means that the condition is a result of an injury or disease. I was certain you must have acquired it by hitting your head or something, but if you insist it's hereditary, then that just makes you a mutant."

He crossed his arms and stood straighter as she regarded him and his uniform, asking which school he was from. "I am Ginyami Midorimori, a fourth year from the Japanese school of Mahoutokoro, but don't even bother trying to pronounce it. Few foreigners can." He tilted his head at her, his smirk still evident on his face. "I've heard Ravenclaw students are supposed to be the smart ones here at this school and I wanted to test that rumor to see if it was, indeed, true. Tell me, if your house is called 'Ravenclaw', why is your animal an eagle?" he wanted to know.

"Perhaps I've asked the wrong student, however. You seem young - a little too young to know anything of much consequence. Let me guess - you're not even a pureblood, are you? I'm sure a pureblood would have had better manners than you, knowing to introduce themselves before asking about someone else's identity."

Sophia frowned while observing the arrogant boy giving his speech and countenance. Her hands became fists. Probably because of him delaying her homework time, Sophia's temper rises. "Oh, you are from Mahoutokoro, I see." She pronounces the name perfectly. She never has a problem pronouncing. "I've heard of it before, but the name is too onerous to remember precisely."

"You are right. The house of Ravenclaw requires its members to have wisdom and intelligence, that's never a rumor." Who gives him the courage to question the sorting hat's work? He's even confused by the house name and representative animal. "Please don't be fooled by the name. The house is only named "Ravenclaw" because of the founder’s last name, whose Rowena Ravenclaw. Similarly, the house "Gryffindor" is named because of the founder Godric Gryffindor. The representative animal of each house is decided by symbolism. Eagle represents wit and intelligence so it's the animal of the house Ravenclaw. Get it?"

Well, well, well. She should have known earlier that this Ginyami, is possibly best with insulting people using blood. "You might have asked the wrong student if you are afraid a muggle-born talking to you will ruin your reputation. But at least my muggle parents are conscious of teaching their child respect. And I will definitely not open a conversation by commenting on people's appearance. By the way, I'm Sophia Fan, first year, if you are that eager to know."

Watching the girl's hands curl into fists, Ginyami's grin grew broader. "The name would only be onerous to someone too indolent to bother memorizing it," he replied silkily in dulcet tones. "As you are, it seems."

Clasping his hands behind his back, he listened patiently as the girl explained why the houses were named what they were and how the animals were symbolic. But then Ginyami laughed. "An eagle represents wit and intelligence? Last I checked, ravens were the ones known for their intelligence. What a completely missed opportunity. I wonder what the founder of your house could possibly have been thinking when she chose an eagle for your animal."

The fifth year blinked a couple of times in surprise when the younger student mentioned she was muggle-born, but then his smile was back and it was nastier than ever. "'Respect'?" he repeated slowly. "As if a couple of stupid muggles would have the faintest idea of what respect truly means. Don't act as if I owe you any respect, you disgusting mudblood, because I can assure you I don't."

Taking out his wand, the Japanese teenager aimed it at Sophia. "Slugulus Eructo," he incanted, attempting to perform the Slug-Vomiting Charm. "Maybe you should watch what comes out of that filthy mouth of yours before you speak to your betters like they're your equals."

Hearing the boy complaining how their founder has miss chosen the house animal, she gave a little smirk. “I wish next time when you tried to protest how people are completely wrong, you can first do deeper research yourself. Trust me, it’s as useful as a life philosophy.” She has made up her mind that this unreasonable boy is going to pay for the homework time she has lost due to his misbehaving. “Eagle is also a big prototypical of vision and creativity, these are also what Ravenclaw detects in students. You have missed it utterly.”

“Exactly! My muggle parents indeed do not have an idea what respect truly means. Respect, for them, is equal to everyone. But no. If others don’t respect me, I’ll not waste time doing so.” Her hand gripping her wand inside her robe so tight as she spoke, and her cheek blushed because of irritation.

Shocked by the boy’s action of casting the slug-vomiting charm, Sophia tries to search for a defensive spell that can cancel curses. But sadly, there are not yet any spells taught in the first year to cancel out small curses like this. She tries to dodge aside, but it’s too late. The spell hits Sophia and causes her to teeter backward, and she managed to stand still by holding the stone column. She can see some students in the corridor gathering around them, whispering.

In her muggle school, bullies never occur to her. Being bullied for the first time like this, Sophia felt a strong sense of wanting to cry. But the huge anger covered the feeling instantly. She decides this bully is going to fall under his own spell. Resisting nausea, Sophia shambled forward to get closer to the boy. Seizing the collar of his handsome navy robe using her greatest power, thinking it will not be as handsome as this in a second, she vomits a mouthful of slug on the boy's robe without giving him any reaction time.

“PREFECT!” Sophia yelled using her maximum strength while throwing up more slugs. Although it might sound like “PRargh...Fectuegh".
