Dear mom,
It was a wholesome journey through Hogwarts train. I made 2-3 friends on the way too. I know you were expecting me to be sorted in Gryffindor but I got sorted in Slytherin. I don't know how you feel about it, but I think it's a lot better. I met so many senior students who were ready to help me and it's a friendly environment too. Dad might get upset if he finds about this, so I am sorry for not being able to accomplish what you all wanted.
I hope you, dad and grandparents are doing well. I am doing all good in here, even though it's my second day in Hogwarts, it feels like a second home to me.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your Hogwarts train. I miss my youth so much and I remember how nervous I was while my first journey thought the Hogwarts train. So enjoy it to your full extent! I am so happy to know that you made friends, afterall they are the ones who will keep you company there. So be nice to them and don't be too picky!
About your house, please don't feel discouraged. I am so proud to have a Slytherin! They are not bad, just the history makes them so. If you are happy with your house, there is no need to listen to others. Don't worry I handled your dad, he isn't angry anymore.
