Colin was sooooo excited to have met Greebo, the midnight black cat, at Clair's family farm over spring break, and that they let him keep the cat, he could hardly keep still all the drive back into Carlisle to return the rental car! His seanmamó took Colin by the arm. "Right, laddie," she said, drawing him into a darkened, ancient doorway in the brickwork under the railway. She smiled. Greebo settled in Colin's arms. "One last stop before getting ye back to school, lad --- London, and Diagon Alley!"

It took Colin a moment to recover his senses after the rapidity of the journey to London, but Greebo seemed to take no notice. He hopped down from Colin's arms and sniffed the ancient brickwork. Colin reckoned he knew where mamó was taking them. The Magical Menagerie! He'd been there once before, last year when they got Uhuu. "Off we go!" his mamó said, leaving Colin to manage his travel case and cat! Fortunately, Greebo had decided that Colin would make a reasonably suitable human for him, and decided to tag along.

In short order, the three of them, arrived at the front doors of the shop. A variety of boxes and cages and crates were piled up outside, along with a rack advertising their lines of self walking leashes, dishes, collars, toys and everything imaginable for a young wizard's pet! mamó gave Colin a couple galleons and bade him and Greebo inside to buy a few things they'd need.

Once inside, he greeted the shopkeepers. Colin's eyes widened and he drew a sharp intake of breath! They remembered Uhuu! The old lady smiled as she recalled how eager Colin was that day, and that he'd certainly grown a foot since then!

"But what can bring a young wizard such as yourself in today? Is that your kitty I see critically examining our range of cat nip toys?"

Colin laughed as he saw Greebo tilting his head, as if wondering where the delicious aroma was coming from! "He grew up on my girlfriend's farm! I reckon he's more used to fresh cat nip! Oh! Also, we'll need a bed, in case he doesn't want to sleep with me. And maybe some tinned catsmeat?"

The old lady nodded and Colin wiggled with excitement. "Of course, dear! Let me show you what we have!" Colin and Greebo examined the cat beds and the cat toys and Colin also found this interesting smooth river stone that had been enchanted to stay warm! He reckoned Greebo might like that down in the dungeons of the castle. When they were done shopping, Greebo hopped up onto the counter to watch as Colin counted out the coins. A galleon, thirteen and twenty-one. Colin smiled and winked at Greebo. The lady wrote out the receipt.

Colin was thrilled! When everything was packed up, he skipped out of the shop with Greebo and huge grin on his face! He gave the receipt to mamó and she even let him keep the extra coins!
