The station was practically bursting with people and noise. Trains pulled into the station, whistling loudly as they waited for passengers to enter. All types of people boarded their own respective trains, and it only took about a few minutes before the trains were blasting off again.

It's irritating. Was Galadriel's first thought. Noise, crowds- the station seemed to have been made simply to ruin her peaceful ideal. Truly, a horrendous place in young Galadriel's mind. She would rather have ridden a broomstick, perhaps a car- anything was better than all this noise. Now, don't get her wrong- she wasn't the type to hate noise entirely. In fact, she found white noise quite calm, soothing her sometimes grated nerves. But this- this was too much. Too much of everything- too much brick, too much noise, too much people, too much- Stop. Galadriel instructed herself to focus on the task at hand. Weaving through this- monstrosity of a place and getting into the Wizarding station, which would hopefully be quiet, although Galadriel doubted it.

Galadriel's mother, Elbereth Aarkaor, was a few paces ahead of her daughter, and she beckoned imperiously at Galadriel, indicting she wanted Galadriel to follow closer. Galadriel obliged, leaning against her cart with more weight to amp up her speed.

"It's noisy." Galadriel commented to her mother.

Her mother glanced at her, a sharp glance, full of judgmental evaluation. "It is." She conceded shortly. Other than that, she continued farther inside the station, pulling Galadriel around a man performing hat tricks.

"Donations, donations! Want to see some real magic? Just pop a coin in this here hat!" The man waved his hat around, grinning brightly at everybody who passed him.

A muggle magician... I can't believe I'll have to go through this station when I come home, and for the rest of my years at Hogwarts. Galadriel whined childishly in her mind.

"We're here, Aerobook." Galadriel's mother used a pet nickname for her. Its origins came from Galdriel's First Instance of Magic, when she had floated a book.

Galadriel stopped in front of the giant brick pillar emerging from the floor. Around her, the bustling station's noise dimmed, barely, slightly, as she concentrated, seeing the wavers in the brick indicating it was enchanted. A blink and her concentration failed, the noise surging back and the brick smoothing itself, creating the illusion it was and had always been solid.

Galadriel glanced back at her mother, who was wearing a face of encouragement. "Will you be coming with me to the platform?" A question, a lifeline. Truthfully, Galadriel was scared- she supposed she would have to make friends and create new experiences- but, she didn't know where to start.

"No. Go ahead- I need to finish cleaning the house before our guests arrive tonight." The lifeline Galadriel had reached for had suddenly been called back, the drowning survivor left alone in the waves.

Galadriel nodded tightly. "I'll send letters." She promised. And then she ducked her head, leaned against her cart, and ran, full-pelt, into the brick barrier.
