Closed Summer Ready Bonfire Bash

Axyen came to the bonfire event, he helped clean up earlier. Now he came to the bonfire all excited, he noticed the lanterns first, they looked wonderful. Axyen also heard music playing, Axyen decided to not dance yet, he wanted to look around first. He approached further towards the lanterns as they seemed to guide him towards the bonfire. Axyen then noticed the blankets put out, they looked really comfortable too. Axyen continued moving and then noticed the drinks and snacks, from lemonades to the chocolates, all of it looked inviting. Axyen didn't bring a swim suit as he wasn't planning on trying to swim, but he was planning to dance, enjoy some snacks, and so on.

Axyen went over and grabbed some lemonade in which he felt he earned through the hard work of cleaning up the edges of the Great Lake. Axyen didn't really want to dance until there were a few other people doing it so he didn't look weird. Axyen was enjoying the end of his first year at Hogwarts however, and no matter how shy he was today, nothing would stop the childish joy that was inside of Axyen.

Axyen was thinking for a moment. There will be no other night that will be similar to this. Axyen thought to himself. He decided he'd dance, no matter how embarrassing. He was doing a type of hip-hop style dance and was having genuine fun. Although he didn't fail to notice how he was the first one there, so he especially had no shame in using all of his best dance moves to start the night of fun.

Axyen reflected on what brought him here, a little fun event to help clean up the Great Lake which now earned him the opportunity to come to this event, you didn't need to help clean up to join the party, but Axyen helped clean up anyways out of kindness and it turned out to be fun! He also loved the fact that he earned it, and thanks to that event it helped him become aware of this little bonfire, which he would've never known if the prefects never said so before letting them help clean the Great Lake. Axyen was never huge on partying at all, the concept of being around so many people was slightly worrisome to him, but this was the last night at Hogwarts and he didn't want to spend it alone, so he came here to have some fun as well.

Summer Errands

Having assisted in the cleaning of the area around the Great Lake, Tristan enjoyed the rest of day alone until the time of the Bonfire. He did this of course to recuperate from the presence of a million people if he was allowed to exaggerate. He carefully stepped into the area and heard some music blasting in the air. He winced at the sound as he was more of a classical music person, or perhaps even a jazz person. He wished he knew some silencing spells as he could not stand the music, but he would have to endure it as long he could to at least have some reward from cleaning. As he stepped into the clearing he became aware that Axyen, the boy from the library was the only other person here as well. Tristan supposed other people would expect him to say hello so he stepped foraward m, tapping the boy on the shoulder and said, “Hello. How are you faring? I met you once at the library… Are you still interested in the muggle world? If so I’d still be willing help…If you want you can join my Gobstones club and we can get to know each other more?”
He supposed this was advertising for his club but he was a Slytherin after all, he better get something out of every conversation. He wanted to be a leader of something even if it only was a club. He waited for an answer with a smirk on his face, licking his lips.

Axyen was still dancing, having no shame as he seemed to be the only one at the bonfire event, which was a surprise, but it wasn't that bad. That was until he felt a tap on shoulder, he stopped immediately out of embarrassment. He turned around to notice Tristan Theramin, he met him once in the library before, and it was a good thing Axyen wouldn't be around completely unfamiliar faces.

"Oh, hello again Tristan." Axyen said, offering a polite smile towards a familiar face. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm not that great at Gobstones." Axyen added, plus he didn't want to smell bad if he lost, and he was not skilled at the game. "I am stilled interested in learning about the Muggle World though!" Axyen decided to include because he was extremely interested in Muggles and learning about them. Axyen noted how he was a lot less nervous around Tristan now that he knew Tristan better.

Axyen grabbed a bag of chips, a Muggle snack, he had a few before because his mother wasn't THAT strict, but he decided he was going to try a new one he never had before. Lay's Barbecue-flavored chips. Axyen opened the bag and tried one small bite, it actually tasted good so Axyen didn't mind finish the small bag. Axyen then got excited at the thought of possibly trying out new snacks, it would be a wonderful idea to try out things while he was here, perhaps he could show his mother too as further evidence that Muggles weren't bad at all.

Summer Errands

Tristan was just fine with Ayxen, saying no to the Gobstones question as he had asked it flippantly without expecting a yes. However, it did please him to hear that Axyen was up to listening about the Muggle World. He gave a slight genuine smile and inquired, “What is it that you would like to know, Axyen? Ask any questions you would like.”
Tristan did notice that the other boy was embarrassed at being discovered dancing but he chose not to say anything. However, after a moment Tristan could not help but comment, “Muggle dancing styles perhaps? I can teach you Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap. Anything to make you not embarrassed.” He had a friendly gleam in his eyes and his tone was genuine and kind rather than mean. It was a genuine offer of help after all. Perhaps indeed he could teach some dancing. He did look forward to that as he hadn’t taught anyone in years since he came to Hogwarts. He did however dance a couple of times around the rooms with acquaintances around, including Leonard, who he hadn’t seen in a while. Perhaps he could owl Leonard sometime again to see how he was doing. Or perhaps he should let that relationship fade.

Axyen studied Tristan's face, hopefully Tristan wouldn't be upset at Axyen saying 'no'. Tristan didn't appear upset at all about Axyen rejection to Gobstones Club, but a bigger surprise was what Tristan did next: smile. Axyen was glad Tristan was at least no upset with Axyen, Axyen drank some of his his lemonade as Tristan offered a question about the Muggle World. Axyen thought for a bit, looking downwards, making eye contact with a few blades of grass. "Hmmm...." Axyen said, deep in thought. Axyen looked back up at Tristan as Tristan proceeded to offer teaching Axyen a few Muggle Dancing Styles and mentioning a few styles of dancing.

"Learning 'tap' sound interesting." Axyen said, not having so much as a clue, but the name sounded interesting to Axyen, so Axyen decided to go with it. Axyen didn't fail to notice Tristan's friendly face that matched well with Tristan's friendly tone. It seemed like a genuine offer to help Axyen improve his dancing skills as his best 'moves' was rather an embarrassment to Axyen as he was rather quick to put an end to it as soon as somebody showed up, even it was a familiar face such as Tristan. Axyen was so far enjoying the bonfire as it was not just a party to Axyen, but an opportunity to learn. Something Axyen enjoyed to do, just learn, whether it was from learning a new spell to simple basic things, learning just seemed to be a source of entertainment for Axyen. No matter how strange others would find that. Studying was something Axyen loved, next to daydreaming as when you daydream, nobody in the daydream could judge you unless you let them to, Axyen quickly realized he was starting to stare into nothing as he noticed he was starting to think about daydreaming which would end up leading Axyen into a daydream. Axyen focused his attention back to Tristan.

Once she had done her fair share of dragging Charlie towards the bonfire, she gave a cry of satisfaction. She could see the students flocking towards the campfire, some whom had done the cleaning and some who hadn’t. But they all shared one thing in common. The want—the need—for fun. And relaxation. A time without worries, for a dew hours.

Better than all of that was the temptation of sugary goodness, something along the lines of s’mores, punch and candies. Some things made her happy—and some of those things were snacks. Snacks, sugar and sweets, yeah. But the bonfire could wait. Because another, more tempting offer stood.

Swimming in the lake was against the rules. After all, dangerous unknowns lurked under the murky depths. But for one afternoon, the students of Hogwarts would be given the opportunity to jump into the waters and enjoy themselves, with proper supervision, of course. She would enjoy the snacks, after she had dragged her friend into the lake. Charlie wouldn’t be keen to disagree, though, after what they had been through. They had been in the lake their fair share of times, one time more recently than the others.

Ava glanced at her friend, a smirk toying on her features. Her hair rippled blue-green to match the lake, although she didn’t notice until a strand blew into her face. She didn’t put a stop to it, though. She smiled wider, and grabbed Charlie’s hand, dragging her towards the water.

Charlie and Ava had finished up what they had been working on at the clean up errand. Just then, Ava grabbed Charlie’s arm and began dragging her in another direction where she had seen a few students go already. It took Charlie a few moments to connect the dots that was the way to the campfire, which was prepared to reward the students that helped out with cleaning up the grounds of Hogwarts.

When the two girls had finally made it to the campfire, Ava expressed her interest in the assortment of snacks that were set out for the students' enjoyment. It was all spread out on one long table. There was water of course, lemonade, punch, and other fruit juices for the drinks. For the snacks there were fruits, candies, which Charlie was very interested in. What Ava was looking at was the supplies that were laid out to roast s’mores.

Charlie continued looking around the small but humble party, she spotted a certain boy, well Dhapmir, Simon who was now a prefect was hosting the party on the shore of great lake. She did not say hi, but she did a little tiny head nod that was barely noticeable.

Charlie looked back to Ava, and noticed her gaze was stuck on the great lake. Ava looked at her and when Charlie watched her smirk, she knew exactly what Ava was plotting thinking.

The two girls took off running to the lake, seeing if they could beat the other girl to the edge of the shore.

They ran as fast as their feet could carry them, towards the cool water and away from the hot sun. Ava had been leading them, but she stopped suddenly when they were near the edge and gave Charlie an extra push as she reached the water. Payback for an old deed, as Ava preferred to think of it.

Before she could go into the water, she froze. Suddenly, the water didn’t look too friendly. Fears rocked her brain, making her doubt her want to go in the water. She knew it was silly. She knew she wanted to jump into the water and splash around. But something held her back. She just needed to push herself to do it. It happened every time she got near water, and it wasn’t really fear, just hesitation.

She could see Charlie waiting for her in the water, and that’s what pushed her to jump in. She waded into the shallows of the lake and when she was deep enough, began treading water towards her friend. Once she had herself balanced in the water, she used an arm to splash water at her friend, giggling when it hit. "Bet you can’t catch me!" She told her friend before she dove under the water. She swam as fast as she could and ended up in the shallows, where she pulled herself onto the shore to wait for Charlie to catch up.
