Books and Breakfast
───── Sundays fell on the nicer days of the week for Lilliana. There never seemed to be too much going on, so the usual hustle and bustle between classes were missing, luckily. The first year had briskly made her way down to the Great Hall, her pale blond hair swishing behind her and a neutral expression on her face. As she strode over to the Slytherin Table, her eyes slid across a book at the Ravenclaw table. From first glance itself, she could tell it was much unlike the other book she normally read. Halting to a stop, she peered at the cover, which read Keeper of the Lost Cities. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly, What on earth does that mean? She wondered about the title, before looking up to see the owner. Next to the book sat an older student, who appeared to be a couple years older than Lilliana, at least. She bit her lip, holding back from speech for a long ten seconds before finally opening her mouth to ask a simple question to the older girl, “Is that book good?” She asked, tentatively. The nervousness in her voice was easily detectable, and was very unlike herself. But she hadn’t much talked to older students, which seemed to have held her back from her normal, confident way of talking. Hopefully they wouldn’t just ignore her. Or walk away.

Sunday, the best day of the week!! Bailey thought, waking up.
She slipped out of her pajamas, and took her hair out of the braids she had left them in overnight.
Pulling on her favorite pair of white loses summer slacks, a blue shirt (of course) and a white and blue jacket because the castle still had its drafts.
Bailey slipped on her jewelry- pieces she didn’t usually wear during the week.
A silver chain with a pearl and blue gem pendant, blue amethyst flower earrings and a ravenclaw bird ring.
She left her hair down, but made her to brush through the waves, and slipped on her blue and tan sandals.
Grabbing her usual tan school bag she slipped her water bottle, her current book- Keeper of the Lost Cities One- that she was reading for her KOLTC club meeting, and her wand into said bag, and headed out the door after giving Twinkle (her cat) her breakfast.
At breakfast Bailey sat down with a plate of hash browns, fried eggs, sausage and bacon with a side of toast and hot chocolate, and cracked open her book.
Eating and reading was a favorite pastime of baileys, and she enjoyed hearing everyone’s chatter around her, though she was never truly listening to anyone’s conversation in particular.
She heard a timid, or at least slightly nervous voice ask if ‘that book is good?’
Bailey looked up to see a girl, a first year, with blond hair that was hanging down her back.
Bailey smiled and said “the Keeper of the lost cities series? Yes it’s amazing!! It’s a muggle series, and I’ve been reading them ever since they first came out. I actually…” Bailey pulled out her bookmark and closed the book- she had been on the last page. Holding the book out to the other girl, she said “just finished re reading it/ you can take my copy if you want!! I was just re reading it for my club that’s about the book. If you like the book, you should come to the meeting!!”
Bailey smiled wider at the thought of a new member for her club.
Realizing that she hadn’t introduced herself, Bailey held out her hand, and said “sorry, I totally forgot to introduce myself. My name is Bailey glade!! And you are-..”@Bailey Glade and @Draven Mirador
