Ara got up, and got ready. She wasn't dressed in her usual at-home outfits. She was going to Diagon Alley with her brother, Edmund. Ara wanted to go alone but her parents refused and forced Ed to go with her so that they can both do something. The girl was planning to spend her Christmas money by herself, but she is now going with her annoying older brother. '48, 49, 50...50 galleons to spend'she counted. Her Aunt Aoi gave her and Edmund 50 galleons last Christmas. "Ed! Are you ready? I've been waiting for an eternity here!" Ara shouted from the down the stairs. After she said that, Edmund went down. Sliding down the rail. "Yes, yes I'm here! You're gonna wake the neighbors!" The 13 year old boy said. "We haven't got any neighbors! And if we did, they should be awake by now! It's 2pm Ed!" Ara retorted. "Fair point" Edmund shrugged. The 2 siblings went to the living room to use the Floo Fireplace. Edmund went first and Ara followed.

When Ara came through, her brother was talking to his friends. "Ok so I'll be hanging out with my friends and you'll do your shopping. Let's meet infront of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes at 5" He told his sister. The girl nodded and they went on their seperate ways. Ara brought her bag that her grandmother got her that had the Undetectable Extension Charm on it. Ara bought a few books from Flourish and Blotts and got some accessories at Madam Malkins.

It was already 3pm. An hour had passed already. Ara was feeling a bit hot so she felt like getting some ice cream at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. She paid for her Three-scoops ice cream and was already eating it. She took her first bite and it felt really refreshing as it melted in her mouth. She was walking away, going to find someplace else to eat her ice cream.

Suddenly a boy bumped into her and her ice cream, even the cone fell. Ara was stunned and angry. She turned back, saw that the boy was only 2-4 meters away, and ran at the boy "HEY!" The ravenette put her hand on his shoulder. "You bumped into me and in result, I dropped my ice cream. Since you're the one who made the ice cream fall, you have to treat me to one in return mister" Ara said monotonously with a straight face as she looked at the shorter boy in the eyes. Her dark brown eyes like daggers. It looked like she was going to murder him.

Mark and his brother James both decided to go to Diagon Alley on the same day. So, their paretns told them to go together. The two took the Floo Network to Diagon Alley. Mark was with his brother until his brother saw his friends.

"Ok, Mark. I'll be with my friends. Meet you at the Leaky Cauldron at 6, ok?" James says
"Ok." Mark says

Mark than walked into Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and looked at all the prank supplies. He than bought some before exciting the shop and going towards Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. He walked inside and looked at all of the yummy ice cream's he could order. He was about to go towards the counter to order, when he bumped into someone. He than heard that person speak and follow him. Mark turned around and saw a girl. He felt bad for bumping into her and making her drop her ice cream.

"Oh no. I'm really sorry. Of course. Um, what flavor would you like? I was going to get myself one. I'd feel bad if I didn't get you one." Mark says

He than realized that the girl was staring daggers in his eyes. If looks could kill, Mark wouldn't be standing there anymore.

Ara gave a smile "Rightfully so...By the way, Three-scoops Ice Cream would be nice" she said as they went to buy another one. It was rather awkward at best but Ara still had her straight face. She was also side-eyeing the boy who made her drop the ice cream. The ravenette thought for a moment. "Name?" She said as her head turned to the boy. " If you're buying me ice cream after I dropped mine. Might as well get your name and then give you a funny little nickname as I do" she said with her arms behind her back as she looked at him up and down ... Actually it was more like down and down considering that he was shorter than her. Ara likes to annoy people who do something 'bad' or bad to her or anyone. Recalling that one time a guy tried to steal her sister's purse and she pinned him to the ground after hitting him with her bag. Good times.

She was waiting for his response as she checked the time. 3:30. There was still an hour and a half left until she needs to meet with her brother at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. She has already spent 35 galleons on books, clothes, and her ice cream so she has 15 galleons left. Enough to just buy some random things she would like.

"Sure. Um mm mm, d'you mind what flavor the ice cream is or are you fine with anything?" Mark says.

Since he felt really bad about dropping her first ice cream, he made sure to get this one correct for her.

He than checked his pockets and noted that he had enough money for two ice creams. He than checked his watch and noticed that it was 3:30. He still has a few hours left before meeting his brother.

"Oh, I'm Mark. Mark Myers. What's your name?" Mark says after the girl asked for his name.

Mark was wondering what nickname she will call him. But he just hopped that it wasn't anything bad. Especially since this will be Mark's very first nickname anyone has ever given him.

Mark than looked back at what they were selling and began thinking what he should get. When he saw watermelon ice cream, he knew he was definitely going to get it. Since its his favorite ice cream and favorite fruit. He than decided to have his ice cream in a waffle cone with some HoneyDukes best selling chocolate syrup, and every flavor beans as a topping. And maybe with a spoon as well.

Now since he has his order, he looked back at the girl and wondered if she was going to add anything to her order.

Ara looked at him, up and down ... down and down with arms crossed. "Any flavor is good, its just a re-pay anyways" She shrugged.

After he bought her ice cream. She started biting it and it tasted nice. It was Vanilla, Cookie dough and another Vanilla. It was like a ice cream sandwich which was made out of ice cream only on a cone. "The names Ara, Ara Villa. Got that Thumbalina? Or maybe Shrimp might suit you better" The ravenette smirked as she teased him. "Watermelon huh? You seem like the kind of person to like that" Ara concludes that he's one of the easy ones to read. Ara can in a way 'read' people. She can easily identify if people are lying, nervous, happy, and can even in a way predict what they're about to do or what they like, etc. She has a hunch that he likes watermelons because of his personality. Ara is very perceptive and observant even though it seems that she isn't even paying attention ornis focused on something else. Its just in her personality or 'nature'.

Ara looked at the floor and mumbled random thoughts "People shouldn't be mad at lazy people...they didn't do anything..." And so on. A few seconds went on of her mumbling her random thoughts.

After Mark had bought the girl her ice cream, he handed it to her, than bought himself one. He than followed her. He than heard her introduce herself, and also add his new nickname. He didn't exactly like his new nickname, but he decided to not say anything.

"Again, Ara, I'm really sorry about dropping your ice cream. I promise to watch where I'm going next time." Mark says again apologizing.

He was quite sure that Ara would probably call him another nickname, but he didn't mind, since he was still feeling guilty for dropping her ice cream. He than began wondering if he and Ara could become friends. But, he thought that it could happen, or maybe not.

"True. I do like watermelon."

Mark wondered how Ara had figured that out, but than realized that she had probably 'read' him, since he was pretty easy to 'read' if someone is able to 'read' people. But, not a lot of people can, so he was quite surprised. But, decided to not show it. He than continued to eat his ice cream, which he likes a lot.

Mark than heard Ara mumbling random thoughts when he noticed that she was looking at the ground. He decided to not say anything, and also not listen, but to continue on eating his ice cream, since it was melting.

The ravenette looked at the time, its now 4pm. She had already finished her Three-Scoops ice cream. "Thank you for getting me some ice cream in return for making me drop my other one" she thanked, "See you at Hogwarts in a couple of months Shrimp!" Ara looked at him teasingly while walking away, waving. That was one of the nicer human interactions she had this summer. Now Ara is going to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes to pass the time. Plus she didn't go there today yet because she planned to go there to meet up with her brother anyways.

While on the way to the joke shop, she saw her brother at Magical Menagerie. She went inside to see Edmund with his friends holding a purple pygmy puff. "Aww! Whatcha gonna name it Ed?" Ara said. "She's a girl so maybe...Kami?" Her brother replied.

He ended up buying it, Ara ended up using some of her galleons as well. Kami is now Edmund and Ara's new pet. Maybe Ara should get her own cat? Ara told Edmund about the ice cream and he laughed. The two siblings got home with a new pygmy puff named Kami and another day to talk about with their youngest sister, Hallie.

"No problem. See ya at Hogwarts, Ara." Mark said while watching Ara leave.

He finished his ice cream before leaving the shop. He than decided to walk around before heading to the Leaky Cauldron.

The young wizard entered quality quidditch supplies and began looking around. Mark really wants a broom, but knows that since he isn't on his house team, he can't get one.

He than looked at the broom he really wants, but knows that he can't get, sadly. Unless he were to join his house Quidditch team, but he probably wont. The broom he was looking at is, the Yajirushi.

He knows that its a Japanese broom, but he wants it badly. Since he's seen it at Mahoutokoro when he went there last summer.

He than decided to leave quality quidditch supplies and head to Leaky Cauldron. When he got into the Cauldron, he looked around for his brother. When he found him, he went up to him.

"Hi, Mark. Had fun?" James says
"Yep! I think I might've met a new friend." Mark says
"Really? Tell me to whole story." James says.

Mark than told James the whole story of him bumping into Ara, dropping her ice cream, buying himself and Ara a ice cream, getting called Shrimp, and parting.

James laughed slightly before the two brothers went back home.
