how do y'all find vcs if you even use them? i need some advice since i'm finding it a tad difficult.

You can use tictok, or maybe watpad. I personally used tictok as it gave me a good suggestion of who it should be. I’m not sure how well watpad would be. Though.

Idk I just use Albedo as Xai's fc and vc cuz he fits that well

This probably isn't the most helpful, but I'd figure I'd throw it out there. Voiceclaims, like faceclaims are one of those things in character creation that just happen (in my experience). They click when they are ready. I've played Xail for well over a decade, and she never had a voiceclaim until about a year or two ago because I hadn't found any that fit her before then.
My best advice? Listen to all kinds of media (especially ones you wouldn't typically be drawn to!), music, movies, other character things, and eventually you'll come across something that just works. It may take time or it may click immediately, but patience is the key here regardless!
In my case, some of the examples for my characters voiceclaim just hadn't existed yet! 😂

I like to look into indie artists, they are relatively unknown so they can be unique, while also having the more musical feel to them. I personally like Aurora Aksnes, she isn't as well known as others, but her voice (speaking and singing) is beautiful 
(I know this is old, but honestly i'm struggling to get to 20 posts lol)
It's all leading to success, even if it currently looks like failure. Don't give up.
