A New Friend
It’s a Saturday morning, and Josephine woke up to the ruckus made by her roommates as they were getting dressed, excitedly discussing about their plans for this weekend. However, Josephine knew instantly what she’s going to do for the day. What’s a better plan than to read some books in the library? It will be a great chance to learn more about magic and this school which contains such a long history and so many secrets.
As Josephine strolled down the library halls, she marveled at all the different topics and contents of the books. How will I ever be able to read all of them? She thought with a little disappointment. After a long period of hesitation, she eventually picked out a book on Hogwarts history, and quietly went to find a place to sit down and read.
However, as she walked over to her favorite seat, she surprisedly saw that there was already another Ravenclaw girl sitting there. Well, that’s interesting! I never expected anyone to be here so early. Although Josephine is usually quite introverted, and prefers to live in her own world, she decided to give friendship a try. After all, if this girl loves reading so much, maybe they’d have something in common! “Hi! What are you reading?” She asked, as quietly as possible in order to not startle the other girl. That’s the best she could come up with, but she can’t help but secretly wonder whether it’s a bit too abrupt or not.

A New Friend
Cassie wakes up early this Saturday morning. She has some club activities the next day, so she expect herself to do all her homework today. But, when she get dressed in her Ravenclaw robes, she realizes she just doesn't feel like doing her homework at all! Anyway, she has to do her homework to keep her all Os grades.
When she finds a nice seat in the library, few students are reading or studying in the library. She looks at the pile of books and sighs. Looking at the huge shelves of books next to her, she realizes she needs to do some random reading before doing her homework.
She finds a nice book about the history and development of Dark Arts and starts to read. It is very interesting and fulfills her curiosity.
Just as she is immersing herself in reading, a sound pulls her back to reality. It is another young Ravenclaw girl. She is smiling and asking what Cassie is reading. She is a pretty and smart girl, her long straight hair really adds to her beauty. 'Hi! I am Cassie Jiang, a first year Ravenclaw!' says Cassie, 'I am reading this book about The History of Dark Arts, you? Wanna read together?'

A New Friend
Josephine was quite relieved that Cassie did not mind her sudden interruption, and instead replied to her question with such enthusiasm. “Hi, my name is Josephine, nice to meet you! Actually, I’ve seen you before a few times in our common room, so I guess this isn’t really the first time we met.” She gave Cassie a small smile, meanwhile being somewhat confused about why she suddenly became so talkative.
Then she heard Cassie propose that the two of them read together. She hasn’t met someone so friendly in a long time, and therefore accepted the proposal quickly, with an almost undetectable amount of surprise: “Thanks, I’d love to read together with you! I’m currently reading about Hogwarts history.” After she said that, she was instantly reminded of History of Magic classes, so she added: “Well, I don’t exactly like History of Magic classes, it sounds quite boring sometimes. But reading about Hogwarts history purely for fun is much more interesting.”
As she sat down and opened her book, she found herself having trouble concentrating. Although the book itself is intriguing, sitting by an almost-stranger without speaking a word for a long time feels quite awkward, so she asked: “What is your favorite subject? Is it Defense Against The Dark Arts?”
