How to change a tag?
Just in general, to cover this topic should it be requested again, for others if they seek help- to change a tag, (I'm assuming you're meaning the "private", "Open", etc. such)
Just go to the first post of the thread and click the pencil icon. You'll be able to go into the title and change the tag.

How to change a tag?
just adding, in case you want to add a tag after the title, write [xxx] xxx is what you want in your title, it will appear as a tag when you submit
